Mission:
Episode 11 - Family Matters
Location: O Flannagain Residence
Timeline: MD001 1800 hrs
"How was your day?" Quinn asked, wondering how it went? His day was a little traumatizing. Well depending on how you looked at it. But he was not really ready to talk about it. Instead he hoped that she had a better day, so he could feed off her positivity.
“Pretty normal for operations,” Ameri said. “You look like you had one of those days. Can you talk about it?” She understood there were things he couldn’t.”
"I want too, but sadly not at the moment." Quinn said, as he took a deep breath. "What is a normal day in operations?" Quinn asked, wanting to get his mind off the Captain's comments from earlier.
“Some bumps here and there,” Ameri smiled. “We has an issue with one of the systems but Jayden and one of the engineers had it fixed in no time. Without someone in as assistant I am running in two directions but I have A couple of my team helping out. It was busy but I like these kinds of days as opposed to slow and quiet.”
"Sounds like you have things under control. You always find a way of making it work out." Quinn said, with a big grin on his face.
"You know how I am," Ameri replied with a grin. "I give one hundred percent and more when I am working." She looked around. "Where is Enya?"
"Science Lab." Quinn said, with a big grin on his face. "She wanted to earn some extra credit." Was all he said, he knew if he said more, that she might get annoyed. Well more annoyed, than she was at the current moment.
Ameri looked at him for a long moment. He had a look she was familiar with and almost asked him for more information but let it go. “Are we on our own for dinner then or is she planning on making an appearance?”
"What about the little one?" Quinn asked, trying to play off the question. He was going to make her come right out, and tell him. He had a big grin on his face.
"Come on, you know the answer to that." Quinn said, with a big grin on his face. She knew, that Ameri would not miss a home cook meal.
“She will be coming in soon,” Ameri sighed. “You are way too happy? Am I going to know why eventually?”
"Will go with happy, I like that." Quinn said, trying to see the positive in it. He was still upset, over the Captain's call.
Ameri shook her head, deciding to let go. She would eventually know or maybe not but she wasn’t in the mood for games. “What sounds good for dinner?”
"You know I love it all baby." Quinn said, with a big grin on his face. He had no particular preference. Whatever she made, would be good enough for him.
“I’ll throw something together then,” Ameri replied. She was lucky that her family wasn’t picky.
"You are too good for us, baby." Quinn said, as he leaned in and kissed her. Enya was not home, so not like anyone was going to say anything.
Ameri kissed Quinn back. She loved their daughter but also moments like this when they were alone. Putting her arms around him, she hugged him close. “I wish it was this easy to wash away the trials of your day.”
"It's a good start." Quinn said, as his warm smile. Turned more devious. His hormones, were getting the better part of him. Not that he had to worry. His wife loved the attention.
Ameri smiled at him, her eyes lighting up. “We are alone and we could have a late dinner.”
"Are you going to explain to Enya, why dinner is going to be late?" Quinn asked her with a big grin on his face. He liked her plan, but he was not going to be the one to tell Enya.
“Oh,” Ameri smiled at him. “I volunteer to explain why we got detailed. I can come up with a real good reason.”
"Not sure if that is a conversation we want to have with our 11 year old daughter." Quinn pointed out to her, with a big grin on his face.
Ameri grinned back. “I didn’t intend on that conversation. I will be honest but keep it simple. I am good at giving minimal information.”
"Enya is very good at manipulation, I think she gets that from me." Quinn said, with a big grin on his face, as he kissed her neck slowly. Now he was just teasing his lovely wife.
Ameri closed her eyes at the touch of his kiss against her neck. “She is a lot like you.” She looked at him and then leaned in for a kiss. “We need to Use our time wisely.”
"Agreed, so shall we use our time.......Wisely?" Quinn asked with a seductive tone. He had no idea, when Enya would be walking through the doors to their quarters.
“Yes,” Ameri took his hand and headed to their room, her eyes on his. “I love it when you are wise.”
The scene starts to fade away. With the two of them running into the bedroom. A short time later, Quinn looks over to Ameri. "I don't think we have done a quickie in a long time." he said, as started to head towards the sonic shower.
Ameri laid on the bed and laughed softly. “I love it when your spontaneous!” She got up and headed in after him.
