Mission: Episode 7 - Home Again
Location: Mess Hall
Timeline: MD002 1200 hrs

Elloma was sitting alone in the mess hall, ever since Clarissa started dating Jayden. She felt like a third wheel. She knew the relationship, between the two of them was new. And she needed to be patient, and her friend would come back around, have lunch with her again. She sat there, slowly eating her food, thinking to herself, thank the gods that mission to Cardassia was over.

T'Rish had just made it back to the Pioneer. It wasn't in the position she had wanted but she was glad to be back. She hadn't gotten the courage up to see Richard yet. Everything between them had been had simply been paused, but she wasn't sure how their reunion was going to be. As she turned from the dispenser with a tray of food and a sweet tea she had come to enjoy she spotted the Kriosian she had befriended prior to leaving. Befriended might have been a strong word, but she had enjoyed her company. Approaching the table she paused, "Mind if I join you?" she asked easily.

"Hi." Elloma said with a big smile on her face. It felt like a few months, but in reality it had been a year since she last saw T'Rish. Thanks to the temporal rift, that affected the crew. "How have you been?" She asked, realizing the last time they spoke Elloma was just an Ensign.

"I am quite adequate." T'Rish replied with a smile as she took the seat she had motioned towards. "I am fine. I have found my new relocation to the Pioneer quite agreeable." She paused taking a sip of her tea. "I hear the crew has been through quite a lot since we last spoke." She was quite blunt about it.

"That's an understatement, we experienced what I am simply calling fractured realities, most of us were sent to sent separate realities, someone how we found a way in each of those realities to repair the damage and come back to our own reality our own universe, and then the attack on the Cardassia." Elloma said, with a look of amazement in her eyes that she survived it.

"I see." T'Rish replied. "It sounds as though you are lucky to be alive." She said evenly. Taking a bit of her lunch she assumed her typical Vulcan mannerisms. It was easier to keep people at arms length and where she was most comfortable. Except Richard. The thought of him made her grin slightly which might have gone unnoticed by most.

"We are all lucky. This crew really came together in our darkest hours, to stay alive." Elloma started to say, as she allowed those painful memories to resurface.

T'Rish had been in the process of taking another sip from her tea when she was hit with a wave of emotions from the Kriosian sitting across from her. It wasn't the first time she had felt that particular wave of emotion, even if she didn't want to. Many members of the crew had had similar reactions to the prior experience and being empathic, and an uncontrolled empath, she didn't have much choice on the matter. She looked over at Elloma and simply nodded in understanding.

"So what about you, surely you have some interesting stories you can share." Elloma suggested, wanting to hear about what T'Rish had been up to for the past year.

"Not overly." There wasn't a lot she could disclose about her time on the Yorktown, but it hadn't been as glamorous as one might have thought. "I spent a year running the Operations department on the USS Yorktown but decided to come back to the Pioneer." She would leave out the fact that she took a huge drop in position, but she had never cared about that.

"You had your own department, wow that must have been nice." Elloma said, as she went on. "What was that like, I have never lead my own team. And why did you give it up to come back to the Pioneer?" Elloma asked, being a little nosy.

"It was, interesting." T'Rish replied knowing that answer wouldn't satisfy many people. "Quite illuminating." She took a bit of her food. "I like it here." She replied simply looking over at the security officer.

"We like you hear too." Elloma said, not wanting to push her friend to hard. She smiled as she went on. "Any big plans on the station?" Elloma asked, hoping the could have lunch or something.

"Dinner with the doctor." T'Rish admitted before she could think over the admission. She looked at the women sitting across from her. "It isn't what you think." She tried to act as if the admission meant nothing, but only time would tell if she succeeded. "How about you?"

"I see, didn't you like the Doctor before?" Elloma asked her, with a big grin on her face. She knew from her duties, that T'Rish had once had a relationship with the Doctor. She was curious, why they did not pick up, where they left off?

T'Rish took a bit of her food as she watched her for a moment. She nodded slightly. "We had dinner a few times when I was here last." She replied. "I can see how one might draw that conclusion."

"He's a nice guy, you should try to pursue it. You both looked very happy together." Elloma said, with a smile on her face. She meant what she said. T'Rish was practically beaming, which was strange for Elloma. Most Vulcan's she knew, would never allow their emotions to shine through like that.

T'Rish tilted her head. "Perhaps you are correct." She took a bit of her food as she pondered the idea. "I would say that I am not opposed to the idea of an entanglement." She turned her attention back to the women she was sitting with. "How about you? Any potential mates?" She asked in an awkward attempt to make small talk.

"No, not really." She said, keeping to herself, the fact she had a romantic fling with the Captain. She did not want that getting out. She had to worry about his reputation and her reputation.

T'Rish nodded. "Well, you are still young." she stated as if that was all that needed to be said on the matter. She finished up her lunch and took a sip of her tea.

"It's been fun catching up, you are right. I am still young, not that concerned. Will talk again soon." Elloma said, as she got ready to leave the table. She needed to talk to Tyler, about getting clearances, for the project she was working on with Commander O Flannagain.

T'Rish watched as the Kriosian walked away and finished her tea. Being back on the Pioneer, but no longer running the department was going to be an adjustment. It would be worth it if all things went well with her and Richard. The thought of the doctor brought a smile to the Vulcan's face as she finished her tea before returning to her shift.
