Mission: Episode 6 - Old Habits Die Hard
Location: Equipment Storage Locker - Deck 3
Timeline: MD004 0930 hrs

Vaebn left the briefing room rapidly; still not sure what the Commander thought of him. "Relegated to being a stiff arm with a phaser," he muttered to himself as he walked out the door. He noticed Dr. O'Rourke in the foyer area and walked a bit faster to catch up. "Excuse me Doctor," he said, "I overheard you saying you were going to gather supplies for the mission, and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to help?"

"Sure, I won't say no to an extra pair of hands." Hermia said. "Just follow my lead." She added.

"Of course Doctor." he said. "There are a few that I need to get from my lab that I think could be of use to us. Should I meet you in sickbay?"

"Sounds like a plan." Hermia said. "Meet you there."

OOC- placeholder for anyone else joining/conversation- resumes in sickbay

Vaebn stepped in wearing a belt with a tricorder and two other devices clipped to it, along with another green metallic terminal strapped to his forearm. "Hello again Doctor. Aside from the standard medpacks and scanners, what would you like me to get for you?"

"There are some boxes of medication you could grab." Hermia said.

El pushed a trolley into sickbay "Alright guys, there you are- help yourselves." she motioned to the trolleys contents.

"Portable replicator. Shield generator off a shuttlepod. box of fireworks for distractions, and other assorted stuff. grab what you want." As she opened a small box on top.

"Type one phaser. Stick in your pocket as an safeguard" Diari said, handing them out.

"Thank you Lieutenant," Vaebn said as he picked up the small phaser and clipped it into the belt. He went to the wall unit thae Doctor had indicated and opened it, looking over the boxes of medications. "I'm guessing we might need some of the coagulants, auto-sutures and the burn kits. Would three packs of each be sufficient Doctor?"

"Yes, we should be able to replicate further supplies while onsite." Hermia said and slipped the type one phaser in her pocket.

"Got enough power in it to last 24 hours non-stop." El tapped the top of the replicator "But Vaebn, dear don't replicate too many explosives. It'll be a bit of a mess to clean up."

Although she knew Diari was joking, Hermia had seen first hand what explosive could do to a humanoid body. It wasn't something she liked to think about, the scars on her back were a constant reminder. "And I'm not cleaning it up." She joked along as she checked the drug supplies against the manifest PADD in her hand.

This was the calm before the storm, when jokes could pass freely between friends and crewmates. However, how does one accurately prepare for the unknown. That was what O'Rourke, Diari, and tr'Hwersuil were attempting to do, prepare for the unknown. For no one knew what they would be up against in the coming days. How these events would change the course of history for Cardassia.
