Mission:
Episode 14 - The Poseidon Adventure
Location: Shuttlebay - Deck 10 - USS Pioneer/Deep Space Nine/Bajor
Timeline: MD005 0900 hrs
Having been granted some time off, Paul and Lyna decided to request a runabout and take a long overdue vacation. Their final destination will be Bajor, with a stopover at Deep Space 9, Paul had been wanting to go to DS9 for a long time.
Paul had put the flight plan in the ship's computer, per regulations. Both Lyna and he have banked a lot of leave time to cover the trip.
With their luggage already on board, Paul contacted the bridge for permission to launch. Having gotten the permission, he guided the runabout of the hanger bay, set course for Deep Space Nine, and the ship jump to warp 5.
It was going to take the better part of a week to arrive at DS9, so they started a routine that consisted of maintenance of the runabout, meals, reading, games and of course, sex.
Since someone had to be at the controls at all times, they slept in 4-hour shifts.
If an emergency popped up, whoever was awake woke the other.
In those times when they would be in bed together, the computer would send a loud signal alerting them.
By the second day, the computer had alerted them to several asteroid sightings, some anomalous planetary system alerts and half a dozen signals that would be communications of some sort.
Everything was catalogued for future study.
By the 5th day, they entered the Bajoran system. Transmitting their verification codes, they were allowed to dock at DS9.
Dressed in civilian clothes, they passed through security, handing over their ID's.
