Mission: Episode 14 - The Poseidon Adventure
Location: The Repulsive Sailboat Bar - Poseidon Station - Promenade
Timeline: MD004 2230 hrs

Once again he was at the Repulsive Sailboat Bar, the tall man his medium length black hair swept back and an intense gaze in his green eyes. He nursed the drink he had in his hand, his square jaw tightening just a small amount. He reached up with his free hand and scratched at the itch which developed in his cleft chin. He took a drink of his scotch, looking around. Giving a sigh he finished off his drink and motioned for another one.

"Where the blue blazes did she go?" he murmured quietly, his baritone voice having a slight accent to it. If one was familiar with accents it would sound, Hungarian or from someplace that way. Maybe Romanian.

He listened to the music being played looked at the girls dressed in pirate costumes serving drinks but none of them were who he looked for.

The Repulsive Sail Boat was a hell of a place, as one walked in through the entrance on level 66, there was a small host stand made from old wood. Along the back wall was a large bar that looked like rough wood with old bar stools. Behind the bar were large wooden barrels that were marked with various types of ales and liquor. They all had spigots that could be used to pour the drinks. There were old wooden support pillars that he was sure were decorative, but added to feel as there were holographic oil lanterns hanging on them. Along the ceiling were chandeliers that had candles burning and more oil lanterns along the wall. There were old windows that gave the illusion of being sea side, that seemed to change with the time of day. Patrons were drinking from tankards of ale or whatever they were drinking. There were old nets hanging from rafters, rope and different sorts of rigging to decorate the place.

To the left of the bar were wooden tables and chairs set up and an old wooden stairwell that went down to a second level.
-----------------------------------------------

There was a pirate bar on the station and Kaylara could not resist checking it out. She even had the perfect outfit: black knee-high boots, a short leather skirt, and a leather corset over a dark red poet's shirt. Since she wasn't on duty her makeup was a bit darker than regulation permitted. For jewelry she wore a chain around her neck and blood-red teardrop earrings. If she was going to draw attention for being Romulan, she might as well do it in style.

She walked in and paused to admire the decor. It was better than she expected.

Stefan noted the interest that a few of the patrons showed, he swiveling around in his chair to take a look at what caught people's attention. His eyes widened. A Romulan female and he had to take a second glance just to make certain it wasn't T'ra, the assistant chief of intelligence of the station. He saw one of the patrons get up to make a move towards the woman, who was dressed to the tee, fitting the atmosphere of the place. He shot the man a dark glance, giving him a sullen glowering warning. The man gulped and sat back down.

Turning his attention back to the woman, he spoke. "Care to join me in a drink?" Stefan deciding to just offer a friendly drink. Pure plain and simple, no sort of lines. He gave a friendly smile, a great contrast to the dark look he gave that patron. His outfit didn't match the ambience of the place, though he wasn't dressed shabbily. Dark grey button up shirt, two buttons unbuttoned. A pair of black dress slacks and some slip-on black shoes.

Kaylara gave him a slow once-over. He was dressed a little too properly for her taste, but there was a brooding quality about him she liked. And his shirt wasn't quite as buttoned-up as most. It showed promise. "Sure," she said, smiling as she slid onto the seat next to him. "What are you drinking?"

"Scotch neat, for now." he answered, Stefan having caught the glance she gave him. He flashed a smile, "The name's Stefan, and you are? And what would you like to start with?" he was liking what he was seeing, taking a better look at the women who now sat next to him. He raised an eyebrow appreciatively. This woman seemed to have a bit of a roguish side to her. And he liked that in women, nothing bland, but a little bit of spice, a little bit of fire.

"I'm Kaylara. Scotch is fine." She smiled back. "For now. If you don't mind my asking, is your accent Romanian?" She shook her head. "Sorry if that sounds like prying. I'm interested in accents."

"You have a good ear, and my accent slips in and out at times." Stefan motioning for a drink for Kaylara and another one for himself. When the drinks arrived, one set in front of him and the other in front of her, "Yes, it is Romanian." then picked up his drink, "What brings you here to the station? If you don't mind my asking. "

"I'm good with regions, but sometimes I get the wrong country." She raised her glass in a salute to him and took a sip. "I'm here on shore leave. Do you work on the station?"

"Yes, I do work on the station." though Stefan wasn't going to broadcast just what his profession was. "I am the sexy man on the promenade." he teased with laughter in his green eyes. "Or so I've been told, it all depends on the one who is looking at me." he raised his glass towards Kaylara, then took another drink of his scotch. Even though Stefan seemed relaxed, there was also a sense of him being on the alert as well.

"Well, I'll have to see for myself if you live up to that reputation. You're nice enough, but I have high standards." There was a wicked twinkle in her eye as she smiled and took another sip of her drink. She noticed that one other man came to greet her when she entered, but Stefan cut him off. Had he come here alone or was he supposed to meet someone? Kaylara was always curious. Especially with a flirt. She casually looked around at the other occupants, even though she'd done that when she walked in. "You're safe so far."

"Are you saying I am safe to be around? Or safe from some trouble coming this way. I can warn you and say, trouble likes to travel my way. " Stefan was working to gather a bit more information of this lovely lady. She definitely had the earmarkings of someone who liked excitement, besides how she held herself. And dressed, she would have been a fun addition to when he and his brother were undercover. "Say have you sailed upon the ocean blue, beneath the Jolly Roger?" he asked, quirking up an eyebrow.

"Maybe I meant you were safe from me," she countered with a chuckle. "Trouble can be fun. So can pirate ships. I haven't sailed on the Jolly Roger, but I should." She was enjoying the word play. He was quick and observant. It made him interesting and she was curious about what sort of work he did.

"How are you when it comes to using a blade ." Stefan leaning in to whisper in her ear. "And it is too bad I am safe in your presence, as I do like trouble." he downed his drink, then paid their tab. "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? And have you met someone who looks like me, tall, dark and devilishly handsome." a flash of a smile and a quiet laugh.

She met his gaze for a long moment. It was part assessing and part challenge and then she, too, whispered. "It depends on the blade and what you do with it." She liked him, even if he was too full of himself. The comment about the devil sounded like some quote she'd heard in a movie, but she couldn't remember which one. Some joker in a costume... "For the rest...we'll have to see, won't we?" This shore leave was beginning to show some promise.

"Tell me something, do you want to stay here and drink through the night or go sailing on a ship, and lay claim to a prize? Get something to eat before we do, as in grab something to eat as take out? There are some good places to grab food at, depending on what you are in the mood for. This station offers quite a few choices with non-replicated food." Stefan commented. Sitting back into his seat. He right now was in the mood for some sword play, and a little bit of action.

She didn't have to think about it. "I'd much prefer sailing and swordplay." She'd need something she could move in, but the holodeck would have proper clothing. She'd only tried fighting in a corset once, just to see if she could.

"Okay done, let’s go." holding out his hand towards Kaylara then headed for the holodeck. "What do you want to get for food? Anything of interest?" They would be passing by a food place or two, he though would like to find out what she ate.

As they were heading towards the exit of the Repulsive Sailboat, the one man who tried to approach Kaylara came over to try to stop them in their tracks.

"What is it about you, that you leave with the pretty pirate girls." the man complained.

"How about asking her? If she so desires to answer." Stefan answered.

Kaylara's curiosity was piqued. She stopped in front of the man. "Does he usually leave here with pretty pirate girls?"

"I know he did with another one I was interested in. She was quite the lovely one I pulled her onto my lap. She said I stunk. I didn't smell that bad. I guess I was too manly for her. " The man drew himself up and put a fist against his chest. "I am quite the specimen of a man. She should have gone with me and not with Mister pansy man." he looked Kaylara up and down. "Now how about you come with me, and you can sit on my lap and give me kisses, yes? After all you are just a bunch of trollops there for our pleasure." making a move to grab Kaylara and yank her to his side.

Stefan's eyes narrowed, moving forward to deck the man, his fist raised ....

The Romulan didn't give Stefan a chance to defend her. In a swift move, she grabbed the man, twisted his arm behind his back and held a small knife to his kidney. "I am no one's property and I thank you to keep your hands off me and any other female you think owes you kisses or anything else. I've half a mind to hog tie you here and wait for someone to call security."

She looked at Stefan. "I think he should spend a night in the brig rethinking his priorities, but I don't want to miss that ship of yours."

"Oh, don't worry you won't be missing it." he caught sight of a passing security, giving out a whistle. Then motioned for the man to come over. He stepped over to the security personnel and whispered into the man's ear, who turned and took a look at the man who was being detained by Kaylara.

"I'll take him off your hands, Miss, he's been causing too much trouble, he's going to the brig." Security remarked. "Just wait until you meet our lovely Chief of security, you are going to wish you never tried that." grabbing the man by the shoulder and hauling him away.

"But she assaulted me! Hurt my arm she did. All I wanted was a kiss." the man protesting as he was being hauled away.

Stefan looked at Kaylara, "You certainly have skills."

Kaylara thanked the security officer before turning to Stefan, smiling. "I can take care of myself. But I do appreciate that you almost decked him." Her smile broadened. "Still want to take me on that pirate ship?"

"Now more than ever." Stefan's grin broadened even more. "Let's go and I can change out of my escort clothing." he held out his hand to Kaylara to see if she'd take it or keep things at a more casual state. Either way, they were heading for the holosuite.
