Lieutenant Myles had brought her in and luckily had calmed her slightly from the initial catatonic state she had left her quarters in. He had wrapped his security jacket around her as she was still in the pyjamas and shivering, walking around in her bare feet was not the best idea if you wanted warm toes.

Amelia sat on the edge of a bio-bed, a nurse trying to make sense out of her and stop her from scratching her arm as she had been for over an hour. Her nails were red with how much she had been trying to get 'it' out of her, mumbling in El-Aurian (think Elvish sounding).

Richard stepped from his office into sickbay and and spotted the new patient with his nurse trying looking as if she was not doing well. He saw the security jacket, one much bigger than she would have need and furrowed his brow.

He walked over to the the brunette Nurse and then down at the patient, "I'll take this one Emily," he offered as he looked at the human.

She nodded and stepped aside to the physician moved in closer, "she's been scratching herself."

The physician nodded, "I see that," he said, "thank you."

Looking a the patient he smiled, "Counselor can you tell me what happened, I can't understand you."

A voice she recognized, one she trusted and for a moment she sat in silence before looking up at him and grabbing him closer. In need of some security she gripped him tight and said, "I need you to scan my arm." she held up her forearm, covered in blood, "Skato put something in me." she said simply as if he'd know what she meant as she wiped the hair from the laceration on her face. People were beginning to look...

Richard allowed himself to be pulled closer, "Alright Amelia," he said offering her a supportive look as he got his trycorder, "you're safe here counselor so just relax while I take a look."

He began his scan and did his best not to indicate there wasn't anything traceable in his scan. He set the screen behind the bed to show an image of her arm as he took a closer look and the internal arm showed nothing was visible.

"Amelia," he began again, "they look so small, do you remember exactly what it was Skato put in, did he tell you what they were going to do?"

"Borg nanites, those wee mechanical bugs! He wants to assimilate me! How do you know his name?! Have you been speaking to my Uncle?!" she replied forgetting she had just mentioned it.

She began to inch up the bed away from Richard, she was suspicious as she could see in his eyes he was hiding something but what she wasn't too sure. Her spidey senses were tingling.

Richard reached for a hypospray from the utility belt he had and put it up against her arm to sedate the woman, "well we need to get them out right away then."

She grabbed his arm in resistance but was too late as she began to drift off and slide further onto the bio-bed. Hopefully she would come out of this 'sleep' a bit more coherent.

"I'm sorry counselor," Richard said as he helped ease her into the bed and tried to make her comfortable."

He tapped his COM badge as he drew in a breath, "Commander Malbrooke, please meet me in sickbay. I am relieving counselor Zano immediately."

"No... I'm fine..." she said drifting off.

Richard shook his head, "No counselor you are certainly not alright."
