Blackness.

Dr. Ballston had sedated her after her episode of craziness that had surfaced due to 'talk' with her Uncle Skato via El-Aurian Mind Tap, which she had never heard about until now.

There was a ripple, not much more, as she slept under sedation. Unconscious she could feel herself becoming aware, her surroundings began to change. She now stood on a hilltop looking out over a city of unimaginable beauty, to her left were hills of snow and above clear skies above with a slight orange tinge to it.

Where am I? she thought as she began to wade through some tall grass to get a closer look at this city. It was strange, she felt she could feel the suns (there were two in various orbits), smell the grass and feel it between her toes.

"Beautiful isn't it?" A voice came from behind her. She didn't turn but wasn't afraid, it was a voice she recognised, it was her fathers.

"Dad?" she asked beginning to turn as he walked to stand beside her.

"That's Delanca City, where I was born, it was a marvel of El-Aurian architecture, full of life and love." he replied half resigned knowing its fate.

"I must be going mad, I'm not really here, I've never seen this place in my life." she said out loud.

"You are here baby, in mind anyway. I am here but also on the Jupiter... I sensed your pain, your fear." Sol gestured for them to sit by a big Jelsa (Oak) tree that sat near the edge of the cliff.

Amelia went to say something but her father put his hand up, "I know you've been in contact with Skato, my brother and your uncle..."

"How is that possible?" she asked.

"Mind Tapping is something that we used to be able to do with other members of our species to communicate over long distances in which regular communication methods were not possible. Although now it is not something that is taught, or remembered, by our species due to how young our species has became." he paused for a moment to let some of the information sink in, "It causes severe emotional reactions in those that have not experienced it before, such as you."

"That's not what I meant Dad, you told me Skato died back when the Borg attacked El-Auria!"

"I thought he had, I saw his ship destroyed by a Borg cutting beam but they must have boarded beforehand and assimilated some of the crew... had I known..." he replied somewhat dejected in the realisation his brother lived and he hadn't known for so long.

Amelia didn't know what to say, usually full of ways to calm herself or to make others feel better, she was shell shocked.

"The fact that it is just over 100 years cannot be a coincidence," he began, "He always held a grudge because I was the better commander, dad's favourite so if he lives then he must be after something. I need you to be careful, if he contacts you again your mind will be able to handle it better but remember nothing that happens in a Mind Tap can affect your physical form." he gestured to her forearm.

"So I can't stop him? Dad, he violated my mind!" she yelled.

"Not with your abilities at this level, I'd need to come and train your mind so you will have to try and resist for now. However should he break through then try and find out what he wants... if our family is in danger."

"Ok... I'll try but I'm not putting myself in harms way."

"I know baby girl, I wouldn't ask you too if I wasn't worried. I've tried to reach out to him and he's blocking me... but I think it's time to wake up." he said smiling.

"What?" she asked.

"Your friend, the doctor, he's waking you up. We'll talk soon... I love you, stay safe."

With that the scene faded and the lights of sickbay began to appear, Richards face hovering nearby.
