| Personal History | Mercy was born on an independent colony within Federation Space. Her father was a conman and her mother was a gymnast and part time thief. Growing up Mercy learnt from both her parents becoming an accomplished thief and con woman. During a dangerous con involving the Orion Syndicate, things went bad, her mother was killed and father captured. Mercy fled and stowed away on a freighter bound for Starbase 1. When the freighter arrived at its destination, Mercy was detained by security and requested asylum. Her request was granted and she was placed in an orphanage. While there she acted out on several occasions, including cheating the other kids out of their replicator rations, programming the replicator to create only rum-and-raisin ice cream and even posing as an Admiral's aide in order to break into Starfleet Command and rearrange the C-in-C's office furniture. Mercy was arrested and tried and found guilty. Instead of giving her prison time, the judge had her enlist in the Marines. Although the training was tough, she worked hard and passed with flying colours. After a few years as a Marine, she was recruited by Starfleet Intelligence. While in the Marines, she trained as a sniper. After further training, her first field mission for SI was to retrieve some data from a crashed Romulan vessel. The vessel had crashed in a jungle on the planet Col-taruss IV. But the less than friendly natives also wanted the data. To avoid raising the alarm she had to hike to the crash-site. She managed to retrieve the data and purge the ship's computer system. But was then hunted though the jungle by the native security forces. She managed to out manoeuvre them only having to eliminate two that got to close. She then hiked back to her shuttle and returned home. By 2390 she was a seasoned Field Officer and was assigned to the USS Liberator’s Intell department under Lieutenant Beauvoir. 2394 Transferred back to the Marine Corps as a sniper, and was assigned to the USS Mountbatten. |
