Before I say anything else I need to say Bravo! and Thank you, a million times thank you!
This mission not only saw an abundance of character development, but we set a personal record for most posts in a month during this mission. We topped out at over 300 posts for the month of September and that is saying something. Wrapped up in all of those posts is a lot of plot. We learned so much about this group of people who call themselves Pioneers.
We also saw the crew come to terms with a more isolationist Federation and Starfleet. A relocation and new mission directive. A new enemy has revealed himself, and he is close to one of our own.
Our stories into the Romulan Empire now begin. We will meet a new race of beings known as the Jutrai. However, first we will have to save a member of our family. As Vaebn's sister Lyie is kidnapped from Earth and brought home to what is left of the Romulan Empire. Can the Pioneer get there in time or will Lyie return to the fold of her people. All that an more in Mission 11 - Family Matters.
I am as always humbled by your writing and your friendship. Without every single one of you this sim would not be possible.
So that is enough of that... Suffice to say you all rock, and I am humbled to write in your presence.
So without any gilding the lily and no further ado I give you the one, the only, awards... taps mic
Promotions
To start things off we have a few promotions. These are earned through hard work and I am proud to hand out the extra pips when warranted.
Sofia Cipriani -
Sofia has been a great asset to this sim, as every good Yeoman should. She has assisted me in exploring the character of Captain Malbrooke. Something that I have been wanting to do for sometime. I also love the way that among the grizzled space veterans that is this crew she can look at everything with wide eyes and wonder. For her strong contributions I am proud to promote Sofia Cipriani to the rank of Petty Officer Third Class with all of the rights and privileges therein.
Jayden Robertson -
Jayden's contributions to this mission did not go unnoticed. His development within the story adds a depth that makes the world of the Pioneer seem a bit more real. It is refreshing to see the adventures of those who are not always on the bridge. For all they have done to better the Pioneer I am proud to promote Jayden Robertson to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade with all of the rights and privilages therein.
After a number of successful missions the Pioneer's Marine Detachment known as The Cure gets some much needed promotions.
Flarn -
Flarn has been the backbone of the Cure for sometime. Even going as far as getting himself in a coma. So it goes without saying that he deserves this promotion. He earns his extra stripes and the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. Along with this promotion is a new position. That of First Sergeant.
Azure Thompson -
Azure is promoted to the rank of Sergeant for her service to the unit. If she did not keep patching these Marines up there would be none left to go on.
Rairror Thoran -
For exemplary service to the Pioneer and The Cure Rairror Thoran is promoted to the rank of Corporal.
Adélaïde Moreau -
For exemplary service to the Pioneer and The Cure Adélaïde Moreau is promoted to the rank of Corporal.
Shayla Kunadt -
Shayla Kunadt is hereby granted the rank of Sergeant as befitting a pilot of the Corps.
Aiden Pearce -
Aiden Peacrce is hereby promoted to the rank of Private FIrst Class for meritorious service to both the Pioneer and the Cure.
Gaagii -
Gaagii is promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant for proven valor in the line of fire.
Awards
Commander Quinn O Flannagain -
Captain's Personal Merit Award -
"What can I say about Quinn. He is my right hand man and very often my conscious. This mission would not have been successful if it were not for his cheering, his pushing, and his spreadsheets. I am forever in his debt and there is no one more deserving of this award for this mission. Thanks for being a part of this community and assisting in making the Pioneer one of the top sims in Obsidian Fleet and on the net."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Captain Tyler Malbrooke -
Executive Officer's Merit Award -
Captain Tyler Malbrooke truly deserves this award. He personally lead his crew, in the efforts of our September 200 challenge. He is an incredible character, and his writer is fun to work with. And motivates his crew to give their best!
Lieutenant Ameri O Flannagain -
Second Officer's Award of Merit -
"In the past session, Ameri has been active leading her department and even taking part in a Marine mission. She's entertained us all with her writing and helped push Pioneer to win our recent contest. Well done."
-Captain Cornelius Tremble-
Lieutenant Ameri O Flannagain -
Crew's Choice Award -
"I am finding this hard every time to choose. Everyone on the pioneer deserves a place in the spotlight. I love how Ameri comes up with all those ideas for posts and such. She is very engaging and active."
-Staff Warrant Officer Jennifer Masters-
"Ameri has been very busy this month. She's been involved in family relations, in helping with a wedding, and in a good number of posts. She's great about involving people and in keeping involved in the doings of the sim."
-Warrant Officer Mira Jayna-
Lieutenant Ameri O Flannagain -
Friendship Ribbon -
"Ameri is the glue that holds the ship together. She is a great character. Her interactions with Clarissa Rockwell, are wonderful to read."
-Commander Quinn O Flannagain-
Lieutenant Paul Michael -
Non-Player Character Award -
"For Lieutenant Josh Randall, whose interaction with my character has me thinking about aspects of her character I didn't expect to, and inspiring as few new ideas of how I pay her, and future responses."
-Lieutenant Elen Diari-
Lieutenant Ameri O Flannagain -
Departmental Service Badge: Service -
"These awards are typically nominated by the department heads. However since she is the department head I stepped in. Ameri really raised the bar this mission. She wrote multiple characters and plots while volunteering for more. Sometimes she had a hand in everything and if that doesn't exemplify Operations I'm not sure what does. Thanks for all the great work."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Lieutenant Ameri O Flannagain -
Library Excellence Ribbon -
"Simply put every post that Ameri touches is a joy to read. There is little evidence of where she stopped and a writing partner began in jps. To top it all off she has a mind full of ideas for posts. A shining example of what this award is for."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Crewman Sofia Cipriani -
Departmental Service Badge: Command -
"Not since the time of Janice Rand has there been a Yeoman that keeps the command team of a ship running. Sofia is a breath of fresh air that shows us what it is like to be young and serving in Starfleet. Most of what she does is in the background, however, soon we will bring her to the forefront and really see what she can add to a story. I want to say thank you to Sofia for assisting the Command Team at every turn."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Lieutenant Commander Hermia O'Rourke, Lieutenant Junior Grade Kara Li, Lieutenant Richard Ballston, Ensign Howard Goldberg, Chief Petty Officer Leslie Calhoun, Private Aiden Pearce, Captain Larta Daughter of Shog, Lieutenant Elloma Essu -
