As we close episode 6 "Old Habits Die Hard" I look at how far this sim has come. We are about a year and a half old and have written some great missions. All of them would make great television episodes for any of the Star Trek crews. It is for the love of those tales that we continue. We continue to write the type of stories that are compelling and fascinating.
For this mission the Command Team took a different approach and I think for the most part it worked well. We decided to split the crew up into teams and each team tackled one aspect of the plot. We then weaved all those mini stories into an overlapping larger tale. What we found was that this crew prefers smaller joint posts and that is okay. Your Command Team continues to learn as we go through this journey.
As always I cannot express my gratitude enough, nor can I give you enough thanks. Just know that I am thankful and proud to call you all my crew and friends. I am beyond proud of this sim and the stories we tell.
But that is enough of the gushing on to the fun stuff. With the close of the episode comes the accolades for all of your hard work. So without any gilding the lily and no further ado I give you the rewards.

Cornelius Tremble -
I am not exactly sure how we would have closed this mission if it were not for Cornelius. His ideas and willingness to throw his character on the fire for the sake of the story never goes unnoticed. He has also been instrumental behind the scenes in getting Empok Nor running. The station now has a life and story of it's own. As well as a bunch of Marines. For his great service to the Pioneer and it's story I hereby promote Cornelius Tremble to the rank of First Lieutenant with all of the rights and privileges therein.

Awards
First Lieutenant Cornelius Tremble -
Captain's Personal Merit Award -
"For this mission I feel that Cornelius Tremble deserves an immense amount of recognition. He not only put himself out there to further the main mission but he also took the lead on a sub arc plot. Fleshing out the setting that is Empok Nor. Tremble is always available to write anything at anytime. It is for all of these reasons and more that I award him the Captain's merit."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
First Lieutenant Cornelius Tremble -
Executive Officer's Merit Award -
"Second Lieutenant Cornelius Tremble, a remarkable writer. Always eager and willing to post on the USS Pioneer. He is a shinning example of a good simmer, and a great leader. I am so excited to be giving him this award."
-Commander Quinn Ó Flannagáin-
First Lieutenant Cornelius Tremble -
Crew's Choice Award -
"I'm a quiet one on discord because I like to observe before I start chatting. In this observation and the offing with him Tremble has been an person to talk to and log with. He's always looking for ways to log and has been pretty open to nearly any idea II've seen pitched, including my own for a little backstory we'll be playing out. It was a hard choice between him and 2 others, however, for these reasons I am submitting my recommendation for Tremble."
-Command Senior Chief Petty Officer Andrew Moore-
"For his ideas and involvement in the mission. His creativity and his openness to other peoples ideas."
-Warrant Officer Jennifer Masters-
Warrant Officer Jennifer Masters -
Enlisted Award of Merit -
"Masters has played an enlisted character for as long as I've been here. In my time I've loved reading here logs and the way she portrays an enlisted crew member. The character of Masters is rough around the edges, however, it isn't taken to the extreme like is easy to do."
-Command Senior Chief Petty Officer Andrew Moore-
Glen Brecat Jerane -
Whoopi Goldberg Diversity Ribbon -
"It takes skill to write an alien species in Star Trek. It takes even more skill to write one as nuanced as a Cardassian."
-Lieutenant Commander Larim Myles-
First Lieutenant Cornelius Tremble -
Purple Heart -
"This award is given for the post series titled "A Little Torture Among Enemies". I approached Tremble with an idea for his capture and torture at the hands of the major antagonists of this plot. He not only agreed to it but added to the concept. His willingness to stick his neck out made this plot even better than I could have hoped."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Command Senior Chief Petty Officer Andrew Moore -
Service Accomodation Award -
"Moore was originally brought onto the Pioneer as a Behavioral Specialist. He quickly took to the job of Chief of the Boat, at first without any request from command. Then he was given the job officially. Now as Chief of the Boat he was given a section of the plot to run and has done a bang up job."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Glen Brecat Jerane -
Meritorious Newcomer Award -
"A joy to write with. A great addition to the Pioneer and in a position that has so much to add to the story. I can't wait to see what he has on deck."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Lieutenant Dana Wakefield -
Most Improved Player Award -
"I have seen a distinct uptick in the Lieutenant's interactions this mission. This is something that I not only appreciate but look forward to."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Lieutenant Vaebn tr'Hwersuil -
Professional Merit Award -
"Vaebn is a joy to write with. His tags epitomize a Romulan to me, sometimes humorous, and sometimes concise, but always smarmy. I enjoy this character so much that I plan to write a series of one on one JPs with the Lieutenant."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Lieutenant Hermia O'Rourke -
Good Conduct Medal -
"Hermia has been functioning as the CMO for quite some time as she fills the shoes left vacant by ELOA. In that time I have come to depend on her for medical assistance on duty, and hello on discord off duty. She epitomizes the word community and deserves to be recognized."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Warrant Officer Jennifer Masters -
Creativity Award -
"When informed that Tremble was to be captured, Jennifer hatched the concept to rescue him. It was interesting to read when it was just an idea, and even more interesting to read when the post was written."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Command Senior Chief Petty Officer Andrew Moore, Lieutenant Junior Grade Paul Michael, Warrant Officer Jennifer Masters, First Lieutenant Cornelius Tremble, Gunnery Sergeant Wilhelmina Wilson, Captain Tyler Malbrooke -
Outstanding Post Ribbon -
"I'm nominating the Package Acquired post, a small misunderstanding led to a blow-up which basically turned the mission on its ear and, in my opinion, made it a lot of fun to read."
-First Lieutenant Cornelius Tremble-
Gunnery Sergeant Wilhelmina Wilson -
Departmental Service Badge: Marine -
"Wilson's writer has added depth to the Marine Ranks on the Pioneer and is developing an interesting character that's fun to write with. And. Well. Marines!"
-First Lieutenant Cornelius Tremble-
Commander Quinn Ó Flannagáin -
Departmental Service Badge: Command -
"Since the creation of the Pioneer I have had a few Executive Officers. However, when Quinn took the job all of the pieces fell into place. He is one hell of an asset both in front and behind the scenes. I believe that he epitomizes this award. Thank you for your service to the Command Department. I know that the Pioneer would not be where it is if it were not for him. I look forward to leaning on you more and more."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Lieutenant Junior Grade Paul Michael -
Service Citation 6 Months -
"Since coming aboard Paul has been a fantastic addition to this ship and it's community. Never hesitant to add to the "Love Boat" story-lines, I look forward to reading what antics he will get into next. Thanks for being a part of this community."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
Lieutenant Junior Grade Elen Diari -
Service Citation 1 Year -
"What would this ship be without it's spunky Chief Engineer. Diari always adds an air of lightheartedness to their posts that make them a joy to read. Thank you for being a part of this community for the past year. Here is to many more."
-Captain Tyler Malbrooke-
This mission had a lot of hurdles and intricate plot holes. Like the crew that you are, you took the ideas that I laid out and made them larger then life. This mission has taught me one important thing about this crew. You all prefer to write smaller joint posts, as opposed to larger ones. I will keep that in advisement in all future missions. I feel that as a game master you all teach me more and more with every mission. For that I have to thank you. I want you all to know that I appreciate everything that you all do for this community.
