Mission: Episode 10 - New Home, Same Pioneers
Location: Kalina's Quarters
Timeline: MD007 1700 hrs

Kalina was still trying to adsorb, everything that she had just heard. It was way to much dissect, at the current moment. Going to the Arboretum, appeared to be a waste of time.

She wanted to find a little space, to think for herself, give herself time adsorb this all. She did appreciate Jayden's advice. But at the moment, she just wanted to be left alone. And given time to process this all.

Kalina took a deep breath, as she made it back to her room. She did her best to avoid everyone. She just wanted to be alone, and take some time to digest this, and to verify if it was true. "Computer locate Ambassador Krisna Solwick and open a channel with her." Kalina called out, wanting some answers now.

"Channel opened." The computer called out, as she walked over to her desk, in her small room. She was grateful to have her own space. Well for the moment she did, she was about to share it with a man she did not really know.

"What do you want little one?" Krisna called out, in a tone of annoyance, she did not like to be summoned like a commoner. She had a feeling that Kalina, just learned about her marriage, but she was going to make her say it out loud.

"I think you know why I am calling Auntie." Kalina said, with a stern look on her face.

"You look so much like Trey." Krisna pointed out to Kalina. She was stalling, but seeing that face upset at her, made her miss her daughter. She was killed in the line of duty, according to her Starfleet file. Seeing Kalina, made it hard for her emotionally.

"Thanks." Kalina said, a little annoyed. But she heard about her cousin being killed in action. It was a little bit tragic. She knew she really looked like Trey, which could not be helping her auntie. But at the moment, she did not care. She was annoyed at what she had done to her.

"You seem ungrateful little one." Krisna pointed out to Kalina. She wondered what was wrong with today's youth. Always ungrateful for the things other do for them.

"Because I am, I never asked for you to arrange me a marriage." Kalina pointed out to her, with an annoyed look on her face. She wanted to know why?

"Sure you did, and the Bryne family, needed a political favor. So in my eyes it was a two for one deal." Krisna said, with a big smile on her face. She wondered if Kalina had forgotten the promise that she made to her.

"I do not remember asking for this." Kalina pointed out to her, wondering what in the hell she was talking about. She did not recall anytime recently, that she asked for this. She wondered if her parents asked on her behalf. If they did, she would yell at them next. She was not ready to marry.

"You told me, when you were five, that if you were not married by your 21st birthday, to arrange a marriage for you." Krisna pointed out to her, remembering how much Kalina dreamed about being married, when she was a little girl.

"I was a child, you can not be serious." Kalina said, very agitated that her aunt held her to her childish dreams. She was five when she made that request. How could Krisna, hold her to that dream?

"Why are you complaining little one. I did as you asked. Now you are giving me grief." Krisna said, as she shook her head in disbelief.

"Why?" Kalina sarcastically grinned. She was holding back her anger, but her annoyance was showing through. It was clear to all that Kalina was upset. "Because you forcing me to marry a stranger." She said, with a frustrated tone.

"You should give him a chance, if you do. I think you will like him." Krisna said, with a smile on her face. She worked hard to make sure they were compatible. She was annoyed that Kalina was acting this way, especially after she did her a favor.
"Not its like I really have a choice in the matter." Kalina said, as she rolled her eyes at her aunt. She was very bitter with her, and she did not care if Krisna took offense. She was offended by this course of action.

"You have a choice, it could be a marriage for political purposes." Krisna ponited out to her. But that was not what Kalina wanted to hear. She always imagined living with her partner.

"I am not marrying a man for a political purposes oh, that is your thing auntie not mine." Kalina told her aunt with the just taste in her tone and annoyed look, if she had been there in person she probably would have slapped her in it for that comment.

"I'm not asking you too little one." Krisna said, with a big grin on her face. "
I am telling you it is an option for you. The choice is yours little one." Krisna told her.

"Does not feel that way to me." Kalina said, as she looked to Krisna. She did not seem to have any ill tempt towards her, despite the fact that Kalina was being very hostile.

"I did this for you little one, what other motive can I have." Krisna asked her, with sincere look on her face.

"You did mention political, what is in it for his family?" Kalina asked, curious to know, what her soon to be husband, was getting in this deal.

"His sister gets to become an Attache for me." Krisna said, with a bolstering tone to her voice.

"I see, what's in it for him?" Kalina asked, with a concerned look on her face. She wondered, what he was getting out of this deal.

"Nothing little one, well nothing more than marrying into the Solwick family." Krisna said with a grin. "That's not so bad, is it?" Krisna asked her.

"I suppose not." Kalina said, as the scene starts to fade away.
