Quinn was a little annoyed, but it was his job. He noticed Ameri waiting right outside of his room. "Come in Ameri." Quinn called out, as he waited for his wife to have a seat.

Ameri came in and took a seat. She had already noticed that Quinn appeared to be having one of those not so good days. She smiled at him. "You wanted to see me, Quinn."

"Well its done, and I thought I would feel better once I did my part. But I am not sure its the right call." Quinn said, feeling guilty that he partakes in this silly notion of an arranged marriage. On Earth they were practically non existent.

“I am at a loss here,” Ameri said with a frown. “What is done that you feel better about.” She paused and then continued. “You should always follow your gut instinct on these things unless you have no choice in the matter.”

"Starfleet Ambassador Krisna Solwick, has ordered myself or the Captain, to notify her niece, of a pre-arranged marriage she has set up for Kalina Solwick and Zaire Bryne." Quinn just stated to her, now that it was over, he could discuss it. He also knew that Kalina and Ameri just met.

Ameri’s eyes widened. “No wonder you sound irritated and regretful at the same time.” She shook her head. “I feel for you being stuck with that assignment.” She looked at Quinn. “I forget how some cultures are so different. How did he take it?”

"He was surprised, but what really shocked me, was the Ambassador wanted Zaire to tell Kalina Solwick. Isn't this normally handled by the parents?" Quinn asked, very confused about why he was even involved in this matter.

“Yes,” Ameri replied with a frown. “It is. That is unusual, I wonder why they would put that on Zaire. It must have been quite a shock to him as well.”

"I do my best to understand and accept traditions. But I have to admit to you, that its hard to be non biased, when you are ordered to do something you morally do not agree with. I believe everyone should be able to choose their partner." Quinn said, as he looked over to Ameri. He choose her, she choose him. They were not forced by outside influence.

“I couldn’t agree more,” Ameri returned with conviction. “There is no way anyone would have chosen my husband. I was waiting for the right one and I knew it when we met at the academy.”

"The Academy?" Quinn said, with a big grin on his face. "Hell I knew the moment I met you, that you were the one." Quinn said, with a big dopey smile on his face.

“As did I,” Ameri murmured. “One look of your eyes flirting with me and I knew you were the one.” She shook her head. “If I had had an arranged marriage it would have been tossed aside because I was having you and no one would stand in my way.”

"Oh no, you said the academy." Quinn said with a teasing grin on his face. "No changing your story, to appease me." Quinn said with a humble chuckle. For the moment he ignored her comment on the arranged marriage, because she was trying to pull a fast one on him. He had no intention of letting her getaway with it.

“Well technically it was,” Ameri pointed out. “We met at a party I went to with Robbie the night before we started at the Academy. You didn’t want to hurt Robbies feelings even though we both knew what we wanted.” She grinned at him. “That whole first year there you just sat back and watched him flirt with me and try to get in my pants, until I told him to back off. “

Quinn just shrugged his shoulders. He was a little surprised to hear this, if this was the way she wanted to remember. Then who was he to correct her on the errors of how she wanted to remember the events. "They are nice pants to get into." Quinn just suggested with a big teasing grin on his face.

Ameri grinned at him. “I can see us twenty years down the road and you will still be getting in them.” She took a deep breath. “I remember every thing we have ever done and no woman could ever be as happy as I am with you.”

Quinn walked over to her, and smiled as he said. "Let's hope they get that same spark in their eyes, like we had for each other." Quinn said in a cute and romantic way.

“Had?” Ameri raised an eyebrow. “You don’t get that spark anymore when you look at me like you did back then?” She held back the grin she wanted to let out. “Maybe I need to step up my game some.”

"Our loves is now an internal flame, that can not be put out. The spark ignited it, but now its blossomed into something special, something more than a spark." Quinn saving face with his lovely wife at that very moment.

Ameri sighed. “Quinn, that was really sweet.” She smiled at him. “You always know just the right thing to say!” What he said was true, ever since the day she first saw him Ameri had not looked at anyone else.

"You make it easy for me, everyday I am with you. I want to give you my best. I will never take our love for granted." Quinn said, as she stared into her eyes.

“I give you all that I have,” Ameri whispered, feeling very emotional. “This love we have seems to grow more and more and all I want is for us to be happy.” Her eyes lit up. “I am thankful for every day we have together.”

"For their sake, I hope they find the same spark we did, my love." Quinn said, as he leaned in to give her a kiss.

Ameri felt the same way Quinn did. She wanted everyone to find what they had. It was sad that many did not.
