Mission: Episode 10 - New Home, Same Pioneers
Location: USS Pioneer - Deck Three - Diplomatic Office
Timeline: MD005 1200 hrs

Eleanor gently placed the box down on the desk in the centre of the room, a small smile creeping across her face. This was her office, how many Ensign's could actually say that in fact, the room was bigger than she expected, and certainly on the same scale as her quarters if not bigger.

"Computer, coffee, black," she said in a soft gentle tone, the usual confirmation tone sounded as the replicator kicked into action.

She gracefully walked across to the replicator, taking in her surroundings imagining where certain items were going to go, after all, she wanted to make her office homely and welcoming, especially as this is where she would host people some people. Picking up the coffee, she lifted it to her nose and smelled the aroma. There was nothing quite like the smell of coffee, and it had certainly helped get through many all-night negotiations.

Taking a sip of the warm liquid Eleanor removed the lid to the box that she had set down on the desk, another smile crept across her face as she lifted a framed photograph out of the box, it was one of the few photographs she had of herself and her brother, they both looked so happy, so carefree, with not a worry in the world. Her smile slowly turned into sadness, she missed him every day, but it had pushed her to become the women she was, it has driven that passion inside and that's why she had become a Diplomat.

Taking another mouthful of coffee, she slowly began to unpack the first box, this was the least pleasant task, settling in was always difficult, one could be reassigned at a moments notice, especially within the Diplomatic Core, that's why Diplomats were always cautious of putting down roots, forging a friendship or getting close to people, because at a moments notice it could all be gone. But that was not something she had to worry about at the moment.

(( Three Hours Later))

Several boxes later, Eleanor finally stood back and admired her office, it certainly looked more welcoming and homely now, several plants, books, certificates and ornaments and gifts that she ha been given adjourned the room. Sitting down at her desk she pressed several buttons on the console, and to her surprise, there was already a message from one of her contacts, it was short and brief and was simply a name, she deleted the message and sat back in her chair.

"Computer do we have any information on a Romulan Ambassador named Loval?" she asked, it was certainly no one she had any past dealings with herself.

A confirmation tone sounded as the computer replied "Affirmative."

Eleanor sat up, focusing on her console "Excellent, display all data and information on my console."

The screen flicked as the requested data was displayed, Eleanor picked up her cup without moving her gaze, she was already engrossed, after all to a diplomat every little detail was important, especially when it wasn't someone you knew. Smiling to herself, she knew she was going to enjoy this posting.
