Mission: Episode 7 - Home Again
Location: Random Corridor, USS Pioneer
Timeline: MD006 1100 hrs

Tallida had agreed to help Camilie with her Tremble problem. She kept having to remind herself that she had agreed and that the women was counting on her. The Doctor couldn't help but wonder what it was about that man that got women so out of character. Here she was on her way to the Marine whatever they called it and she was dreading it. She should be excited. Seeing a new portion of the ship should be thrilling and a chance to observe and she shouldn't be dreading it. The worst part was, she knew without a doubt that the Marine CO wasn't this bothered by her.

Still fuming as she rounded the corner she almost collided with a group of men but stopped just short. "Talli, get your shit together."

Ade had been bringing up the rear, in had been a run that had been going on its 14th lap now and it had suddenly came to a halt. "What's going on guys? Don't tell me Lewis is 'tired' again?" She mused as she bent down to catch her breath, her face bearing down as she felt some of the effects of the previous nights consumption of alcohol.

Talli pressed herself to the side to allow the group to pass her. For a moment she was amused at watching the group of winded marines. She was an Officer and had to keep herself fit, but group workouts were rare. She began to shuffle down the hallway in the direction she had originally been heading when she bumped into a bent form she hadn't seen.

Someone bumped into her bottom and she was nudged ever so slightly forward. "Well that's one way to proposition a girl Lewis." she said as she rose to meet the bumper. "You know you should--" Adélaïde stopped as her eyes met with the woman from Empok Nor. Unmistakably her with her cotton candy hair and awkward demeanour.

Talli stopped, frozen where she stood. It was the normal reaction she would have had in this situation but when her eyes fell on the women she had spent the night before the Pioneer arrived she paled. "You," She said softly.

Adelaide looked behind her and then back at Talli. "Well..." she said blushing and rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. This was a situation she hadn't been in for a while, well not really ever actually. "I guess my new posting just got that little more interesting?" She asked, her voice rising at the end of the question.

She felt her heart skip, it's pace quicken as well as her breath fasten. For once she was almost lost for words.

Tallida reached up and tucked her hair behind her ears as she looked over the beautiful women she had met a few days back. Her cheeks flushed. She had acted completely out of character with her and it had been exhilarating and none of her normal reservations had kicked in due the anonymity of their tryst. "Hi, Ade." She replied as she looked over the women and felt a wave of sensation that was not wanted at that moment.

Adelaide smiled, "Hi Cotton." she said with a warm smile. "Looks like you're the Search Specialist, you sure found me without trying." she joked. It was a thing she did when she became uncomfortable or didn't truly know what to say.

Talli laughed. "You weren't the Marine I was looking for." She smiled, her cheeks flushing as she looked the other women up and down for a moment. "Not regretting finding you instead." She offered letting a playful grin cross her lips. "How are you?"

She studied her face, "You look like a woman looking for my boss. Good luck!" She said with a large smile. "Well thank you ma'am. " she said noticing the pips on her collar. "Its nice to be found. I am fine, working off last nights late night. How are you?"

Tallida was suddenly made aware of their difference in rank and status on the ship. While she didn't care about the different between Fleet and Corps she knew many that did. "I am fine." She started. "I won't keep you." She said suddenly aware of their surroundings.

"Oh please that." she said throwing her hands at the group that had already left her behind. "I'm not even on duty, I just like a good run to clear my head." She noticed Talli's eyes fixed on the rank insignia on her trousers, wearing a vest there was not a lot of decoration to see on there. Adelaide screwed up her lips in thought and leaned in, "Don't worry, I wont embarrass you in front of the officers." She whispered, admittedly a little saddened by the woman's hesitance.

"No ,I..." Talli started her cheeks flushing as she tucked hair behind her ear. "I wasn't worried about that." She started as she looked down at the floor. "I don't want to cause you any, uh, trouble." She added softly.

Ade laughed, "Girl, trouble is my middle name." she said remembering it actually wasn't, but she didn't correct herself. She could see the tension/awkwardness pouring out of the woman in front. "Come here." she said tugging her arm into a nearby empty room. "You need to calm down." Ade placed her hands on both of Talli's arms and looked deep into the eyes that she couldn't take hers off of a few nights ago. "Stop worrying." Ade rubbed her arms in a comforting fashion.

Tallida closed her eyes as she tired to follow Ade's instruction. "Sorry," She said softly. When her eyes opened their locked onto Ade's. "I am not a basket case, I promise." She laughed with a shake of her head. She let out a breath and shook her arms a bit, not to dislodge Ade's hands. "You just surprised me, I didn't expect to see you again."

Adelaide smiled, "That makes two of us, Cotton." Her hands slid down to Talli's hands, and she held them lightly as to not push the woman too much into thinking something was going to happen in that quiet room they'd commandeered. "We had a nice night, both in the White Stag and afterwards, but we are both adults and we have nothing to hide." she thought for a moment. "Are you the counsellor I've heard my superiors talking about? They said someone with coloured hair and well..." she pointed to the woman's head.

Tallida blushed, tucking the color locks behind her ear. "That would be me." She grinned. "Your boss doesn't like me much." She volunteered. "So, I am not surprised."

"I don't think he likes many people outside of the marines." Ade admitted. She didn't know the man very well, or at all to be honest but the impression she got was he was a hard man to get to know. "But then again, when I heard him talk it wasn't necessarily in a tone of dislike..."

"Well, I guess that is something." The cotton candy hair women replied. "Do you want to have dinner with me?" She blurted, her eyes going wide at her boldness.

"Really?" she asked somewhat surprised. Adelaide truly hadn't expected this but a part of her was interested. "Yeah, I think that'd be nice. You can call me with detail if you like? I need to catch up with them before they lap me." She said looking down the corridor.

"Yea, I will." Tallida smiled as she watched the Marine move down the hallway. Her mood was much improved with her little interlude. Now to find the thorn in her paw.
