Mission:
Episode 7 - Home Again
Location: Mess Hall
Timeline: MD005 1300 hrs
Clarissa walked into the messhall, she had scheduled to meet Jayden around this time. She knew he worked late last night, so they did not get to spend the night together. "Hey handsome." She said, as she pulled up a chair next to him. She put her plate down, and prepared to eat.
“Hi beautiful,” he smiled. She made him feel better just by walking in. “How was your day.”
"Nice and quiet so far. Engineering is running smoothly, no complaints. How about you?" Clarissa asked. She was clueless on what had transpired last night.
“I’m not going to lie it was a train wreck,” Jayden replied. “But I am hoping things will improve.”
"What happened?" Clarissa asked, she had no idea what had happened. She hated the fact, that he had a bad day. She did not wish that on anyone.
“Lieutenant Wakefield decoded to pay a surprise visit to the bridge,” Jayden sighed. “Nothing I did was right. She went from ripping me apart from saying hello to Science to not informing her of a minor system glitch.”
"What a bitch." Clarissa said, wondering who in the hell did Dana think she was. Talking to her man like that. She wondered though, was there more to this story.
“Apparently she was pissed because you and I are seeing each other,” Jayden continued. “She insinuated that we are the talk of the ship and I need to basically hide our relationship. I barely got out of that meeting and the first Officer has me in his office. I told him flat out my personal life is none of their business and I am not hiding us.”
"What the hell?" Clarissa said, with an annoyed look on her face. "Who in the hell does she think she is?" Clarissa asked? She did not expect Jayden to have an answer. All she knew for sure was, this Dana person was sounding like a real bitch. "Never hide us, if she has a problem with us, she can kiss my ass." Clarissa said, with an upset look on her face. The nerve of that woman!
“I wouldn’t,” he replied sincerely. “Commander O’Flannagain said he would handle it and agreed.” He smiled then. “You got me feeling better already.”
"Glad to hear it, what you doing later tonight?" Clarissa said, as her eyes grew wide. She was eager to spend some quality alone time with him. Hopefully that bitch, did not have him working late tonight.
“I am free,” Jayden smiled. “I was hoping we’d both be off shift.I don’t go back on until tomorrow afternoon.”
"I'm off at 1600 hours, I'll see you tonight. Mess hall?" Clarissa asked, hoping he would say yes. She was not interested in eating, just spending time with him.
“I will be there,” he grinned. “See you then.”
"When are you going to see Lieutenant Wakefield next?" Clarissa asked, wondering how long this drama was going to unfold for him. She hated the fact, that evil woman was picking on her man.
“I don’t know,” Jayden replied. “I am hoping she just leaves me alone.” He didn’t hold any hope on that.
"I hope so too, otherwise will have words, my fist in her nose." Clarissa said. She did not like the fact that some snot nose little brat, was talking shit about her, and taking it out on her ex and her current boyfriend.
Jayden grinned. “I would like to but I don’t hit women and she is my boss.”
"That's a good thing." Clarissa said. She hated the fact that Dana was messing with him. But she loved the fact, how patient and collected he appeared to be. Clarissa was pissed off enough, for the both of them.
“The last thing I want is to be transferred,” Jayden explained. “When our meeting ended it left me wondering if Lt. Michael will still be there.”
"Where would he go?" Clarissa asked being nice. She could careless if he transferred off the ship. He broke her heart.
“I don’t know.” He shrugged. “Don’t care either.”
"Still sore about him? Well you got me, and he has himself." Clarissa said, as she started to massage his shoulders, trying to re assure him, that she was very happy to be with him.
“You are right,” Jayden grinned. “That feels good.” He said as he felt the tension leave him.”
"I wonder what Dana's issue is?" Clarissa said, more talking to herself, than talking to Jayden. She continued to massage his shoulders, trying to give him, her undivided attention. Which was hard, because Dana was getting in her business.
“I think it is something unrelated to all of this,” Jayden murmured. “If I had the pips I would suggest an evaluation of her mentality.”
"I would suggest it anyways. She has no right to interfere with our personal life." Clarissa said, agreeing with her man. This Dana needed to go, a bad seed.
“You are right,” Jayden nodded. “I have to meet with the first Officer again, I will suggest it.”
"Now that's is over with, what do you want to do later tonight?" She asked with a wink in her eye. She was eager to spend time with him. She hated the fact he worked late last night.
“Oh,” Jayden winked. “I am certain we will think of something.”
"Besides that, and it will happen." She said as she leaned in closely to give him a small kiss. "I was hoping we could go to After 11, Elloma wants to talk to us." Clarissa said. Wondering what her friend wanted.
“Of course,” Jayden nodded. “I would like getting to know some of your friends.
"Let's meet up at 2100 hours." Clarissa said, with a big grin on her face. The scene starts to fade.
