Mission:
Episode 7 - Home Again
Location: USS Pioneer-deck 9-Security chief's office
Timeline: MD005 1100 hrs
Nhi just arrived on Empok nor with her duffel bag. She was told by head quarters that her personal things were already send to the pioneer. She was excited to learn her bunk mate was and settle in. But she thought it would be prudent to meet with the security chief first. She was walking with a padd in hand over the promenade to find the Pioneer. She looked on the padd. "Lieutenant Commander Larim Myles, Betazoid. Never worked with a Betazoid before," She said to herself. She looked to the picture of her new security chief. She tilted her head a little and then turned the padd. "Not bad for a security chief," She said grinning.
She walked on board the ship and looked around. It was quiet at the docking station. She walked through the long hallways as she followed the map on her padd of the Pioneer. She finally came to the security office. The doors were open. She didn't expect that. She stepped in. "Hello? Commander Myles?" She asked looking around. "I am Ensign Hoa Nhi Nguyen, reporting for duty, sir!"
"Come in, Ensign." Larim said. He started up, knocking over a stack of padds, which caused a slight blush. "Sorry about that. Have to organize." He chuckled.
Nhi didn't thought a second and dived down and took the padds as she dropped her duffel bag on the floor. "I could help, if you need, sir." She said quickly.
"Id appreciate it. But you've only just arrived." Larim said. "Thank you."
"Oh, sir, I just came out of the academy, what is a girl to do," She said, "also was on the base for several days before I could get on board." She smiled. "I could use the distraction." She looked at the padds one by one and started to sort them and organised his desk a bit. "There, what do you think?" She pointed to each stack as she explained, "Departmental reports, security reports, senior staff meetings." She smiled.
Larim smiled back. He muttered a soft "Wow" before turning his attention back to the Ensign. "I wish I was that efficient when I was an Ensign. Which seems like many moons past now." He laughed
"Oh right," Nhi said, "Back home I used to help around the house. Sorting things out was one of the things I did a lot. It's not that hard to do." She smiled and looked around, "So what else can I do to help?" She offered and thought a moment. "I could cook. Bring your wife, we could bring some people together. Have fun."
"She'd love that." Larim said. "I'll have to call her." He smiled. "Well, what do you consider your strengths. Investigation? Guarding?"
"I would go with guarding," She replied and smiled."Do you have something for me to guard?" she asked.
