Tyler walked from the Ready Room and out onto the Bridge. He smiled broadly as he saw the bridge crew at their stations and waiting. He took the center chair and leaned over to his XO. "They ready Monty? Well, more importantly are your ready?" He smiled at her.

Patricia raised an eyebrow at the man’s use of her nickname, sitting back into her chair as one leg crossed over the other at the knee. This was Tyler’s moment to shine, she wasn’t about to impose. “As ready as we’ll ever be Captain. Crew is just awaiting your orders.”

Tyler smiled at her, there was a reason that they made a great team. He was an in the moment kind of person and she was always the realist. "Let us just sit and enjoy the moment. Moments like these are too precious to bog down with heavy handed words, and they will never come again." He smiled an tapped her arm.

Patricia didn’t give a reply, just allowing herself the smallest of smiles. Tyler would be Tyler, she couldn’t ever deny it and there was no point in trying to change it.

Tyler opened up a ship wide channel "Attention all hands this is the Commanding Officer, take your stations and prepare for departure." He then pressed a few commands into the command console that sat between himself and Patricia. "Intel, go/no go for departure..."

Tobias standing in the entrance to the SCIF when the ship wide call came out. Tapping the Comm at the wall near the door, he replied, "This Warrant Officer Tobias Beckett, we are ready when you are Sir."

"Doctor Ballston, go/no go for departure..." Tyler said into the comm channel.

"Ballston here," the physician answered tapping his badge, "Medical is a go."

"Excellent doctor, keep a light on for us down there. But, let us hope that we won't need it." Tyler replied.

"Marines, go/no go for departure? You folks hunkered down and ready?" Tyler said.

Down in Marine Country, Maisie was manning the Marine Office as the Marine of the Watch, and received the message from the bridge. The MCO had already stated his satisfaction that they were ready to go, so Maisie knew what to do.

"Bridge, this is PFC Dawes in the Marine Office; the MCO confirms we are good to go."

Tyler then glanced over to the engineering station on the bridge and saw that it was being manned by a crewman. Tyler smirked he somehow knew his Chief Engineer would be watching the core as it came to life. "Thalk how is the warp core? Go/no go for departure..."

The scurrying of junior engineers could be heard in the background as Thalk responded with certainty: "All systems are fully operational." He kicked a power coupling, for good measure.

Tyler laughed at the gruff response from his Engineer. "Thalk you are the only engineer that I know that whacks things to make sure that they are in working order, keep it up. Bridge out."

Tyler closed the comm channel. "Tactical, go/no go for departure?"

"Go, Captain. Shields, weapons show ready across the board. Full complement torpedoes."

"Acknowledged Larim, start working the metaphasic computations for the Badlands." Tyler replied

"Ops, go/no go for departure?" Tyler sat in the center chair as he went station by station.

T'Rish's fingers tapped across her console as she looked over the systems under her control. Not surprised by the greens across the board she reported to her CO. "Operations go for departure, Sir."

"Acknowledged Ensign..." Tyler replied.

"Science, go/no go for departure?" His smile seemed to get bigger and bigger with every report.

Vaebn glanced at the monitors around him and brought up all the necessary information he needed, "Probe networking system is coming online and will be calibrated for active running by the time we arrive at the badlands. Astrometrics reports all navigational and external sensors are linked, and I am receiving active telemetry. Ready for departure."

"Chief Williams, is everyone ready to get this show on the road? go/no go for departure?"

B’tak turned to face the captain and barked,

“Go for departure.”

Tyler turned his steely eyes straight ahead. "Flight go/no go for departure?"

Jax looked over her console before responding. "Core is spooled up. All thrusters and engines are green. Flight is go for launch at your command, Sir." She said as she looked over her shoulder at the Commander.

"T'Rish alert station operations that we are clear for departure. Jax clear all mooring lines and gently push off from the station. Maintain maneuvering thrusters only until we are clear of the station." Tyler issued commands.

The Vulcan hybrid danced her fingers across her computer terminal as she sent the information to the station. “Empok Nor reporting we are clear for departure, all system green” she called out as requested.

On word from the station that they were cleared to leave Jax started to use the thrusters to create some distance from the docking port. The ship shook for a second which was normal when the airlock was released. There wasn't a terrible amount of shuttle traffic this time of day. She kept the station's navigation pod on screen as its lights gave directions on pulling away. As the had cleared the station and were in thier lane of departure the nav-pods lights turned green and then it headed back to the station.

He leaned over to his friend an XO, "So, Monty I think the honor should be yours. Once we are clear why don't you send us out there." He winked and smiled at her.

Jax turned to the XO before she could reply, as the Captain had good timing. "Ma'am we are clear of the station and course laid in for the Badlands."

Patricia had been sitting back, just watching and listening to the interactions between so many people as they played a symphony in harmony with one other, to achieve the same outcome of getting underway. “Engage Lieutenant.”

Those words always put a smile on her face. She turned back to her console and noticed at the last second she had power fluctuation in one of the dampening manifolds. Right as she was going to bring it up it regulated. Jax shrugged it off and pushed in the commands and slid her hands to engage the warp engines. She had not been given a speed so she set it for cruising speed. It took a second for the hulk of a ship to start to move but then the stars speed up and they made the jump to warp.

Tyler smiled as the ship made the jump to warp and he closed his eyes and listened as the articulating nacelles of the ship locked into position. He turned to XO "Monty you have the bridge..."

Patricia found herself biting her tongue at the retort that sat on it's tip to give in response. She had an image to uphold...one of executive officer to the crew and in turn she had to lead by example. Instead she nodded thanks in the direction of the Captain before turning to her computer screen and bringing up the schematics of engineering. She may as well start one by one...this was going to be a long journey.

Tyler took one look around the bridge and he knew this was it. This was the crew that would do great things and this was his family. As he stood in the turbolift he saw his XO looking at him and winked at her just before the doors closed.
