Mission:
Episode 6 - Old Habits Die Hard
Location: Officers quarters
Timeline: MD004 1000 hrs
"Sounds like a plan." Hermia said. "Meet you there."
Her voice carried as he turned and briskly walked back to his quarters, making haste as there was little time to get what he needed. Upon entry, went to the long dresser against the wall by the windows. Vaebn knelt down and slid the bottom drawer open and removed a briefcase of a dark green hue; and thumbed it open with the scanning pad on the handle. It unlocked as he placed it down on the desk. The jade colored set of devices sat right where he left them, nestled in their cutout holds in the case.
"I'm sure the Captain wouldn't mind if I used some old Romulan ingenuity and tech to help us out. He always says to take an initiative and think outside the box." Vaebn said to noone in particular. In another drawer he removed the secondary duty belt and with it clips and holster, and fastened it around his waist. Vaebn then pulled out three of the long octagonal shaped devices and clipped them around the belt, and grabbed the longer device before closing and securing the case and returning it to its home.
He left his quarters, and strapped the device to his left forearm as he walked through the halls, making his way to sickbay. Maybe with a little help from the past, I can prove to this new XO that I am much more than another arm to hold a phaser, he thought to himself.
