Location: Larim's office
Timeline: MD003 1030 hrs

Last Time On Informal Intelligence Dinner

"Well," said Jenn, "I do want to get home at some point. So have we found a way to get home yet? If not, for the time to figure that out, I guess the Lieutenant and I are available." She smiled.

"I'm expecting news tomorrow", Jati said. "These things take time. We're fairly certain that an anomaly that was detected near Empok Nor is related, and we'll have to take more readings once we arrive there."

And Now the Continuation

May 30 2394 1030 hrs (relative time)

Jenn walked in to the office of the security chief. A place she never really been, as she never needed to. She was more comfortable on SCIF. "Lieutenant Myles?" She called.

"Larim, please" he said. He motioned for her to take a seat. He slid a padd away and turned to his replicator. "Refreshment? He smiled. He didn't need to be betazoid to know something was on her mind.

Jenn smiled. "No thank you, sir. I mean Larim." She sat down and looked around the office thinking of what to say next. She knew the security chief was a Betazoid and would probably be able to read her mind, even though he told her he wasn't allowed to by starfleet protocol. Right now it seemed easier for her if he just read her mind than when she was trying to explain her thought train.

Finally she took a deep breath and spoke, "I came to you, cause, well, you are in the same situation as I am, you are from the same time frame I am from and would probably get more what I am trying to say here." She paused a moment and then continued. "What do you think? Do you think we will be able to get back? And when will we get back? And I don't mean between now and like several months. How many time would have past? And what if we never go back?" She was a bit scared even though Jati assured her there was a way. She was no scientist, she was an intelligence officer. She gathered information and based on that she found her answered. But approaching based on pure science was unknown to her. She didn't want to test things to get her answers. She liked to live in the knowledge the answers were out there and only needed to be found. And science worked on the same principle but it wasn't as simple as hacking a computer or questioning people.

Then she realized that Larim wouldn't have the answer either. He worked the same way as her, as a security officer. "You know all this would have been easier if one of us was a science officer. Or at least a scientist." She scoffed. "You know, I am no philosopher, but if some things were meant to be, why us? Why an Human Intelligence Agent and a security chief? What kind of skills do we have to get us back?"

"Well we're certainly no slouches in the investigating Department" Larim said. "Also Im a Fair shuttle pilot." He cleared his throat. Maybe we can use some sort of Technology solution, install on a shutllecaft." He shrugged.

"Hmm," said Jenn in thought. She then leaned over to Larims computer and started to tick on it. She was a hacker so she didn't need any code. She called up some schematics of a shuttle. And then she made access to the SCIF main computer. "I remember something in the files about such a problem. Maybe we could infuse the engines with thoron radiation. But then we need our quantum signature and the location where we got here. Which means the location of this Pioneer and where it was at the time we first appeared."

"Well or Quantum signature should be on record when we got scanned in sickbay." Larim said. "Radiations good idea. Let's do that." Larim said further. "Strictly security of course my training."

"Ask for coordinates remember them pretty well as I was on the bridge." He chuckled.

"Looks like we got ourselves a plan." Jenn said.

"Let's do it then" Larim said.
