Mission:
Episode 4 - The Sum of Our Parts
Location: USS Pioneer
Timeline: MD001 1215 hrs
May 28 2394 1215 hrs (relative time)
The shock wave hit the ship, a flood of emotions, and then everything went black.
When her eyesight cleared Hermia found herself in a somewhat familiar place. Pioneer's Marine Country, but something was off. In one corner she noticed several Borg alcoves which were in use.
The occupants wore Marine uniforms.
When regeneration cycle ended one of the occupants, with the rank of Second Lieutenant approached her and said. "Marines ready for action, Ma'am."
"Acknowledged, L.T." Hermia said playing along as she had noticed she too was wearing a Marine uniform. Was this a dream? She wondered.
She looked down at the PADD in her hand, it contained a plan for a rescue mission. She also noticed the two silver bars on her collar, which indicated that she was a Captain. This has got to be a dream. She thought as her hand touched the bars. Before anyone in the room could become suspicious, she skimmed the PADD and began the briefing.
"Okay, here's the plan, we have a rescue mission. In this system is a science station that has been captured pirates. We will take a shuttle to the station, neuralize the unfriendlies, rescue the scientists and their research." Hermia said. "Any questions?"
There was a chorus of. "No, Ma'am."
