Mission: Episode 3 - Weary Travellers
Location: Sickbay - USS Pioneer
Timeline: MD004 1000 hrs

Miex whistled to herself as she walked down the corridors to the ships small medical bay. No matter how many times she'd been on a ship she always had to do them again.

She had her data padd with the information from the trill medical board in her pocket which she drew as she stepped into the room.

Time to get this over with.

Richard glanced up at the sound of the door and offered a smile. He had been inventorying supplies, something he had learned to do religiously to ensure things were ready. He sat his PaDD down and began walking towards the unusual appearing trill and nodded, "Lieutenant, welcome to sickbay, I'm Doctor Ballston." He tilted his head slighty and added, "may I help you?"

" Nice to meet you Ballston. I'm Jomaus Miex the new chief flight control officer. I'm just here for my medical test to clear me for duty. " She said politely as she held up her padd. " My medical information from the trill medical board regarding my symbiote implantation surgery and recovery. "

"That will be very helpful." The physician reached out to take the PaDD, "thank you for providing the information, it makes my job a little easier."

He grinned broadly as he motioned her towards the few biobeds at the rear of the department, "being a pilot must be rather exciting."

" Oh, it is. Especially when you're flying one of these girls. One of the best designs the fleet ever made." The trill replied as she sat and then lied down on one of the bio beds. " Must be exciting being the head of medical on a ship like this."

"Dream of a lifetime," Richard replied with a bit of a chuckle, "it's what I've always wanted to do."

He took the medical tricorder from where it hung on his utility belt and nodded, "you having any discomfort at the moment Lieutenant, any complaints?"

" Some infrequent mild headaches. The trill doctors said it's just me and Miex memories getting aligned and it should pass." She replied politely.

Richard nodded as he listened and scanned her. His tricorder made the usual sounds it passed over her and he glanced back at her, "do they interfere with your work?

" No, they haven't happened in a few days and they wouldn't stop me from doing my work. " she replied honestly.

"Would you like me to prescribe something for them?" Richard asked as he glanced away from his tricorder at the woman, "wouldn't want you to be too distracted at the helm."

" If you have any. There almost gone, but I'd hate to have one whilst at the helm. Guess my five previous lifetimes are finally settling into my head." The trill replied jokingly.

Richard chuckled and nodded at the woman's reply, "well I can prescribe something, a mild dose that shouldn't interfere with your abilities to fly."

He let the tricorder drop to his side and drew in a breath, "I can give you a preloaded hypospray set with three percent Hydrocortilene?"

" That would be great. " The trill responded with a smile.

Richard gave the Trill a smile as he turned to retrieve a hypospray and then began to set it using his tricorder, "I've never learned to fly anything." He chuckled, "It's alright I really haven't needed to and I don't have too much of an urge to be all that much of a dare devil."

Meix replied calmly, but with a hint of joy in her voice. " Well, I never learnt much about being a doctor. One of my previous host was a nurse, but that was a long time ago. Back when miniskirts were part of the fleets uniform."

Richard chuckled, "oh really?" He smiled as he finished setting the injection device, "I started in the 2340s so unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to meet them."

"Well, you may have meet some of the other me's. Still trying to work out who's memories belong to who though. " The trill replied with a slight laugh.

"Now that is a possibility," Richard replied with a laugh, "we'll have to see if we can figure that out sometime."

" Still we'll have plenty of time for that. Is my medical check looking good? " she asked politely.

Richard chuckled and nodded at his patient, "well you're cleared for duty Lieutenant and welcome aboard."

" Well that's a relief." the trill responded as she slid off the bio bed. " I'll see you around doctor." She said with a polite handshake before heading for the door.
