Given the previous days combat action and the follow ups that that entailed, Heidy had almost forgot about getting checked out medically after the fact, she remembered during the morning and immediately changed her plans making straightforward for sickbay, it was a hold over from her previous posting where the master at arms insisted on it regardless of if a crewman had taken any form of hit or not. She strolled into sickbay, looked around, then strolled to a biobed, one in the middle and waited to be seen.

Richard glanced over from the man he had just given a physical towards the new arrival and offered a faint smile. Then returned his gaze to the enlisted Bolion who was standing from the bed, "thank you for coming in for you physical," The physician said as the patient began walking away.

He walked the short distance over towards the brunette and smiled warmly, "I don't recall you being on my schedule today Miss Dliucca?'

"True, but I saw a bit of action yesterday. A post check over is good idea. Better safe than sorry, Eh." She responded simply, trying to hide the supprise of the doctor recognisng her.

"Let's get you looked at then," Richard replied with a smile. He reached for his tricorder and raised it up to begin his scans, "should I be expecting more visitors?" He chuckled slightly as he continued the scan, "seems there were a lot of us doing some hazardous duty yesterday."

"Maybe, I mean all the action was supposed to be over there." Heidy responded with a face and sweeping her arms away from her. "Not on our doorstep, I mean who invades at 10 am, talk about inconsiderate."

Richard chuckled as he continued his scans and made eye contact with the woman, "I have never found invaders to be considerate."

"True enough. But I'm assigned the graveyard shift, so I was nicely tucked up in bed." Heidy explained with a sigh looking back at Dr Ballston. "Anyway, that enough griping of me, well almost, my left shoulder is a bit stiff today, does it look okay?."

Richard tilted his head slightly and gave her a smile, "then let's take a closer look at that." He moved his tricorder over to examine the body part and nodded, "you do have some bruising but also some minor tears in your deltoid and trapezius muscles." He put down the device offering a smile, "I can fix that if you would like?"

"Yes please." Heidy answered simply, shifting slightly in the hopes of giving the doctor better access. "So are you looking forward to a bit of leave time Doc?"

"Absolutely," Richard replied as he removed the deep tissue regeneration tool from his belt, "my family is on Impok Nor."

"Aww nice Doc." She responded with a smile, "Get to spend some quality time with them. Hit the promenade, maybe. When you say family that sounds more then just you and a partner."

The blonde man chuckled, "I know this is going to sound crazy but try three partners and my daughter Abigail."

"Okay that's a few, I knew the Bolians have the whole co-partner thing going on. Wasn't aware of any species who had more." Heidy responded with a grin at the image of the family. "Until now that is, I come from a sizable family myself, two brothers, two sisters and me."

Richard chuckled as she told about her family, "that sounds wonderful." He tilted his head tilted slightly, "I don't have any brothers but I do have three half sisters." He grinned, "one of them has a winery on Azzia." "Perhaps you would like to try some sometimes."

"Yeah, for sure, I like getting to try proper grown and made things, and good wine is hard to beat." Heidy replied, perhaps a little to enthusiastically, but still.

"I have an idea that might interest you and others in the crew," Richard said crossing his arms." He drew in a breath and smiled, "I have a program that simulates what a typical Azzian home is like and we could have a party, an open house, so people could try some of their food, drink and ask some questions about them."

"That sounds an interesting prospect." Heidy responded cheerily and still with a level of enthusiasm. "Can't beat a good party, gathering, ifor that's an invitation I'll take it."

"Then it is." The man chucked and nodded his head, "why not do it during shore leave so that the crew can actually drink the real thing rather than synthahal if they want?" "I can have my daughter and partners there to help answer questions too." He chuckled and blushed slightly, "I've only known my true species for about seven years and one of them is the Ambassador so they more much more about it than I honestly do."

"Now that sounds like there's a story behind it, and one I want to hear. It can wait though. I can put the work around a bit if you want but I'll need a place and time." Heidy replied finding herself getting genuinely excited about the prospect. New people and new perspectives were always of interest to her.

"You might want to be sitting down for that story," Richard replied. He chuckled and nodded at the woman, "but if you want let's have lunch and I can tell the whole tale."

"Sounds great. Today?" She responded with a positive nod. "I'm officially on leave but have one final interview of our guests at 1100 hours, can I comm you when I'm done?"

"Give me a call and we can meet up." Richard smiled broadly and nodded towards her, "I'll bring some pictures and information that might prove interesting to you."

"Will do." She replied rotating her shoulder carefully. "That feeling much better as well, good as new. Thanks." Sliding off the bed to her feet.
