Richard let out a sigh as he moved into a seat next to her bed in ward room one. The room was light and airy but not quite as sterile an environment as would be needed for someone actually recovering from surgery. He moved around and sit down watch the woman as she lay as comfortable as he could get her. Earlier he had taken care of the scratches, the self inflicted wounds she had endured.

The physician leaned forward and placed a hypospray to her shoulder releasing an agent to help gently awaken the the woman, "time to wake up counselor, you're safe and in good hands."

Blackness turned into brightness as she peaked out from behind her eyelids. The world was blurry, didn't make sense, and there was a figure speaking to her. Her focus did come back however and she was in a small room with Richard.

Sitting up she looked at him with a confused face, "Richard, why am I here? What's going on?" she asked suspiciously.

The physician smiled and his eyes sparkled seeing the counselor seemed to have come to her senses, "You came to sickbay claiming someone had put nanites into your arm Counselor. You were disorientated and had scratched yourself rather severely. Apparently you were experiencing some sort of hallucination though I am not sure what from. " He smiled broadly at her as he continued, "there are no nanites in your arm so I though if you were able to disconnect from whatever was causing your hallucination you might come back to us without the mental disjointedness and apparently you have."

Subconsciously she started rubbing her forearm as Richard spoke, clearly he was quite worried by the expression on his face as well as what she could feel from him.

"It was an El-Aurian Mind Tap...not the best name but I didn't come up with it so. I didn't know we had that ability but it links us all and we can communicate with each other if we know how." she explained, "Apparently the first one is always one that causes emotional unrest and mental instability, especially if you aren't trained nor expecting it... so, I didn't do anything too radical did I?" She asked.

Richard listened intently as he carefully gathered what the woman was telling him, "No counselor I was concerned though that you might and I really didn't want you doing something you would regret later, it's why I brought you in here, a little more private and perhaps safer for you than a sickbay." He furrowed his brow as he continued, "this mind tap, it sounds as if you were mentally assaulted." He drew in a deep breath and added, "I guess trained Azzian telepaths can do something similar, a projected image of themselves I think would be the best way to describe."

"I'm was surprised as you." She said sitting up rubbing the tiredness from her eyes, "But in truth I do feel kinda violated. Someone entered my mind and forced themselves on me and I had no power to stop it... and to make matters worse he was," she paused for a moment as a single tear rolled down her cheek, she was remembering it more now, "My uncle."

"Your uncle," Richard replied tilting his head, "if I can help at all, even just to listen."

"I think I'll need some time to process this, but If I need to speak to someone Richard, it will be you." Not only was he a trained psychologist like herself she also felt she she was forming a friendship with him. By far he was the person she had talked to the most, they shared similar backgrounds professionally and he seemed genuinely to care about her well-being.

She put her hand on his upper arm as a sign of mutual respect and caring, "Thank you Richard."

"Any time Amelia," Richard responded placing a hand on hers, "you are important and not just as a member of my staff."

She smiled, "Am I clear to return to my duties?" she asked.

"Only if you feel up to it," Richard said with a smile, "you've been through a good deal today."
