Episode 11 - Family Matters
Location: After 11
Timeline: MD002 2115 hrs
"Hello Lieutenant." Kalina said, as she walked up to Clarissa. She noticed that Quinn stepped away, talking to some more of the crew. Kalina had a drink in her hand and was trying to make small talk. As she took a sip.
Clarissa was a little surprise by the sudden arrival of Kalina. She wondered where Zaire was? Was he on the mission as well? She was not sure. She did not want to be rude, and not answer her simple greeting. "Hello Kalina, how are you?"
"Pretty good, decided to come down to the bar and check this place out. I heard Miss Dela Vega, hosts a wild night out. Like every night." Kalina said, as she took another small ship.
"Oh her reputation for hosting parties, is incredible." Clarissa said, with a big grin on her face. "If you wanted a wild night, you came to the right place sweetie." Clarissa said, as she put her arm around Kalina. And started to walk her towards the bar.
"Will meet Chloe later on tonight. First I need a drink." Clarissa said, with a big grin on her face.
"Have you ever tried this, its called a lemon drop. It's sweet and sour all in one." Kalina said, with a big grin.
"It's okay, but sweetie we need something stronger if we are going to keep up with Chloe's shenanigans tonight." Clarissa said, with a big grin.
"I'm afraid to ask." Kalina said, with a concerned look. She had no idea, what Clarissa was planning.
"It'll be fine, trust me." Clarissa said, with a big grin on her face.
"Alright." Kalina said, as they made their way to the bar area.
Clarissa smiled as she told one of Chloe's helpers to get her two AMF's and to keep them coming. Clarissa just gave Chloe a wink. Suggesting to wait til later to come over and help break in Kalina.
"What is an AMF?" Kalina asked, as she noticed two tall glasses. Clarissa handed her a glass. She tried to smell it, but she could not really smell to much. Just a lot of berries in the drink. She wondered if they were hiding the real flavor or the alcohol content.
"You will love it, trust me sweetie. It will loosen you up sweetie." Clarissa said, as she took a big sip of hers.
"I am loosen." Kalina said, as she knew she was not stiff, and her muscles were pretty relaxed. She had no idea, what Clarissa was saying. Was it a human term, that she did not understand.
Clarissa grinned, as she completed her first sip. "Are you sure, you seem a little tense, and concerned. Is it about coming here, or the hottie you call a fiance?" Clarissa asked, with a big grin.
She can not do anything about her man, maybe should could help Kalina. Assuming she needed any help.
"Zaire and I are fine." Kalina said, wondering if she was sending the wrong message to the crew. She had no complaints about him.
Clarissa then narrowed it down to her being nervous, in this place. Maybe its reputation was making her a little tense. "The first time I stepped through those doors." Clarissa started to say with her arm still around Kalina, and the other arm with the drink pointing to the doors to the bar.
"The first time I came through them, I was nervous. Like you, I heard the stories. And to be honest with you. They are all true, and I was tense at first. Then Chloe introduced me to this drink. It will loose anyone up." Clarissa said, with a wink. Then took another small sip.
"Does it taste good?" Kalina asked, as she put down her empty drink in her hand. The Lemon drop. She had completed that drink, and now looked at the AMF in her hand. Debating if this was a good idea.
"Its wonderful, come on take a sip." Clarissa suggested to her, with a big grin on her face.
Kalina decided why not, and took a small sip. She instantly tasted the four types of alcohol that overwhelmed her sense. Almost coughing and spitting out the drink. However like Clarissa said, it had a very sweet taste.
"Wow." Kalina said, as her eyes grew big. As she took a moment to process what she had just tasted. It was like nothing she had ever tried before. She typically did not drink.
"Hunny we are just getting started, trust me that drink gets better the more you drink." Clarissa said, with a big wink her eye. As she took another small sip, and suggested Kalina to do the same.
Kalina started to feel the affects, but not to the point it was affecting her abilities. "I can feel that." She said, with a big grin on her face.
"Don't be a light weight on me Kalina, we have a big night of partying ahead of us." Clarissa pointed out to her, with a grin on her face.
"We do?" Kalina said, with a smile on her face. She liked the idea of partying it up.
"Oh ya, we do." Clarissa said, as she walked her out to the middle of the floor. Music was playing in the bar. And Clarissa started to dance. "Join me." Clarissa said, as she put her drink on a table near the floor.
Kalina thought herself, why not. Despite the fact she did not really know how to dance. She felt like she was doing okay, since no one was really staring at her, or being corrected by Clarissa.
Kalina grinned thinking to herself, this was fun. Maybe Clarissa was right, maybe she was a little tense. A stiff drink and some dancing, was what she needed.
"There you go." Clarissa said, as she took her hands, and danced with her in a platonic type of way.
Kalina continued to dance, with the music in the background, and dancing with her friend Clarissa. The scene starts to fade away.
