Mission:
Episode 10 - New Home, Same Pioneers
Location: Various
Timeline: MD004 0700 hrs
Ameri smiled as she brought a cup of coffee into Quinn who was up and about to get dressed. She kissed him and handed it to him with a smile on her face.
“Enya has to take some tests for school today,” she explained. “When she is finished she is hanging out with Tyler and Kat until we get home.” Her eyes lit up. “You are mine for the day, your schedule has been cleared.” It had been a while since they had had a day like this, it was hard for both of them to be free at the same time. She waited for Quinn to reply.
"Someone is pulling out all the stops." Quinn said, with a warm smile on his face. She was clearly up to something.
“When was the last time we had a day for just us,” Ameri asked him. “To spend together doing whatever we want to? No work or anything else?” She smiled at him daring him to come up with one.
"It has been a while." Quinn said, as he pulled her close to his side. He looked into her eyes. Curious to know, what she had planned out for them.
“We are going to the Starbase and check into the room we will be staying in overnight,” Ameri said with a smile. “And decide if we want to stay and relax in the jacuzzi together and go out later or we can do something on the base, have dinner and to back to our room.” She smiled at him. “What would you prefer?”
"Who is taking Enya for the night?" Quinn asked again. Going out for a few hours is one thing. But all night, was another matter all together.
“She is staying with Tyler and Kat,” Ameri said with a smile. “We haven’t left her with anyone else. I would talk with you first.” She paused. “Would you rather just spend the day and come home to be with her?”
"I am not sure the captain is up for that." Quinn said, surprised that she did not offer to let Clarissa watch her. They really seemed to have bonded.
“Then let’s go for the day,” Ameri said quietly. “It will be fine.” They would still have the day together.
"I don't mind the night." Quinn said, with a playful grin on his face. The idea of just the two of them, alone was very appealing to him.
“Do you think she would stay with Clarissa then if I asked her?” Ameri said, thinking. “They seem to get along quite well.”
"Dunno, but its to late now. Would be rude of us to say, hey were going with Clarissa, sorry." Quinn pointed out to Ameri.
"But if Tyler and Kat aren't up to it," Ameri began. "Then they would be relieved don't you think?"
"I think that ship has sailed, we asked and we can keep Clarissa in mind for next time. I have a feeling that Jayden wants the night to his lady, to be uninterrupted. I know I want my night to be." Quinn said, with a seductive grin.
"Sounds good," Ameri smiled. "I am glad to see you are as up for this as I am. I feel like we are back at the academy and stealing a night away from homework."
"There will be homework tonight, the total and complete satisfaction of my lady." Quinn said, trying to sound romantic. And be cute with it.
Ameri grinned. “I am going to enjoy your version of homework.” She kissed him. “Something I am looking forward to.”
"Oh you got your own homework to do as well." Quinn suggested with a wink in his eye. He wanted to talk sexy to her for a while, but with Enya in the room, it was always hard to do so.
“I am very good at homework,” Ameri’s eyes lit up. “I have never had any complaints. Just you wait and see.”
Quinn grinned from ear to ear, as he looked into the eyes of Ameri. "I must admit, I am looking forward to this night. Just the two of us, relaxing and enjoying each others company. I know I am repeating myself, but it does not change the fact, that I am excited to get this night off to a good start." Quinn said, to her, as he reached for her hand.
Ameri took his hand her smile was wide. “You do not know how hard it was to plan this and have it all work out.” She was as excited as he was.
"No, but I am glad that you did. Sometimes a man needs to be swept up off his feet." Quinn said, with a teasing grin on his face.
“I have been thinking a lot lately about how much you do for me,” Ameri said with a smile. “Flowers and cards, unexpected dates and I wanted to do this for you because I love and appreciate you.”
"You make it sound like work, for me baby its not. It's part of me wanting to express my feelings for you." Quinn said, with a warm smile on his face.
“Not at all,” Ameri said with a laugh. “I enjoyed every minute of putting this together. I think this may be the first time I actually surprised you.”
"I must admit, it was nice to be surprised for once." Quinn said, as he leaned in for a kiss, to show his gratitude.
Ameri met his kiss with one of her own. “This reminds me of the academy when we would steak and night away from it all.” Memories of those days came back to her and she smiled. “I had no idea back then how much more I could love you.”
Quinn could feel the passion from her lips, as they pressed against his. "Our love is like a sweet wine. It gets better with time." Quinn said, with a big grin on his face.
“See there is my romantic husband,” Ameri murmured. “You melt my heart with those sweet words of yours.”
"Yet the words you say, our just as sweet. I am truly humbled to be married to you, and to help raise our little girl together." Quinn said, as he felt himself get lost in her eyes.
Ameri felt her emotions kicking in and she blinked at tears of happiness. She just looked at him for what felt like the longest time. “She is the best part of us and raising her together has made my life complete.”
Quinn just smiled, as he leaned in for another kiss. The scene starts to fade way.
As Quinn’s lips met hers she knew they were going to enjoy this time together.
