Mission: Episode 10 - New Home, Same Pioneers
Location: Clarissa's Quarters
Timeline: MD010 1000 hrs

Clarissa looked into the monitor and then asked, "Can you believe it?" She asked, as she looked over to Elloma.

"Do you think they are moving a little to fast?" Elloma said, wondering why Jennifer and Billy were getting married so soon. In the past two years, she had focused on her career and her mission. She did not have time to find a new man.

"Or maybe we are being the old nagging ladies, and being to rigid to move forward with our lives." Clarissa suggested to Elloma.

"Where is that coming from?" Elloma asked, surprised to hear her say that. Elloma felt that was coming from somewhere deep inside of Clarissa. She wondered, was her friend thinking of marriage?
"I honestly do not know, I am trying to figure that out." Clarissa said, feeling a little bad about giving her dear friend a little snark. She wished Elloma was over here, she could use a hug.

"First off, we are not old nagging ladies." Elloma wanted to make very clear to Clarissa. They were two professional business ladies, that strived to do their best.

"I know we are, sorry about that." Clarissa said, feeling guilty for even saying that in the first place. She was a little on edge, and she knew that. She also knew, that she needed to work through this. Talking with Ameri did help, but now she needed advice from her best friend.

"So all of this coming up, because a few girls on the Pioneer are either getting married or getting engaged right?" Elloma asked, trying to make sure she understood Clarissa's concern.

"Correct." Clarissa said, still feeling very lost and emotionally confused on what to do.

"And now you are second guessing your decision, not to want to get married. Is that correct?" Elloma asked, as the security officer in her, started to do her own investigation.

"And there comes out the deticive in you." Clarissa said, with a nervous smile on her face. She appreciated the gesture, but at the same she was afraid, what Elloma's investigation would determine.

"Can't be helped." Elloma said, with a smile on her face. "You did not answer the question." Elloma reminded her, letting her know she was not getting out of the question.

"Of course I am seconding guessing myself, wouldn't you be?" Clarissa asked her with a concerned look on her face.

"I probably would, if I was in your shoes." Elloma pointed out to her with a big grin on her face.

"So much for being objective." Clarissa teased her. She loved the fact, that her friend was talking to her and not the investigator.

"I would not be a good friend, if I was objective, would I?" Elloma said, with a big warm smile on her face.

"I suppose you would not be." Clarissa said, with a warm smile on her face. Nicely played, Clarissa thought to herself.

"I think its obvious, what is going on here!" Elloma flat out said what was on her mind to Clarissa. She needed to make sure Clarissa was ready to hear the truth.

"And what is that?" Clarissa asked, knowing she was probably not going to like what ever Elloma had to say next.

Elloma ws not sure how to read her response. That was pretty calm and collected. "I'm just making my obsercations." Elloma said to her, hoping that would get her to see, she was not trying to upset her.

"That still has not answered my question." Clarissa said, putting the attention back on her. She really wondered, what Elloma was trying to say.

"You want to get married." Elloma said, with a big grin on her face. Elloma knew she would get some backlash for that comment.

"No." Clarissa stated in a very confused tone. Did she? She had yo wonder. Why else would she be plundering over this. Did she want t o be married? That could not be right, Clarissa thought to herself. She was pretty sure, she wanted to be single for a while, and have fun and be young. Not tie down, start a family.

Elloma just stared at her from the monitor. She was allowing her friend time to process, what she had said. Elloma wanted to say more, but she knew she needed to give her friend a chance to process this.

"I....I....." Clarissa started to say, as she started to give it some more serious thought. She found herself, lost in her own thoughts. Maybe what Elloma said, was making sense. Maybe she did want to get married, and this was her hearts way of telling her mind to get with the program.

"Rissie sweetie, girl you know I love you. But its clear to me." Elloma told her, trying to reassure her, that more than likely it was true. Clarissa was ready to get married. She just needed to come to that realization.

Clarissa was completely dumbfounded by the sudden realization. "I think your right." Clarissa said, as the idea, scared her even more. She never thought she would have these type of feelings for someone.

"What are you going to do about it?" Elloma asked, trying to get her to express her feelings to Jayden. Opening up to Elloma was a first good step, but now she needed to tell Jayden how she felt.

"We both know what I need to do next." Clarissa said, as the scene starts to fade away. Clarissa was debating how to tell Jayden.

Elloma wanted to reach out and hug her, but subspace does not allow for that. “If you need anything sweetie, just call me. You got this, you can do it.” Elloma told her, trying to give her courage to tell Jaydden.
