Mission:
Episode 10 - New Home, Same Pioneers
Location: Holodeck
Timeline: MD008 2030 hrs
Enya didn't have school today, she had spent the day watching movies and listening to music. In the middle of the day she decided she wanted to keep a journal of her thoughts from day to day and had started that.
Her mom had sent her a message that she had to work late but her Dad would be home soon. Enya was glad they both weren't having to stay because she was sick of her own company. Getting a glass of milk, she sat at the table and waited for her Dad to get there.
Quinn walked into the room, and looked over to Enya. "I got a holodeck reservation, lets go." Quinn told Enya. He did not want to stay home moping around while Ameri was working late.
Enya was off the couch and headed over to where her Dad was waiting. “Thank you for rescuing me! I was bored!” She was excited to do something with her Dad.”
"Me too sweetie, work can be boring at times. But our homelives should never be boring." Quinn said, with a big grin on his face, as he watched Enya walk towards the door.
“What are we going to do?” Enya asked him, curious as to what he had in mind.
"Have you played on a trampoline park?" Quinn asked, with a big grin on his face. He thought for sure, that Enya would like that.
“Noooo,” Enya said as she smiled. “But I have wanted to.” Her eyes lit up. “Are we really, Dad!”
"Well your in luck, today you will." Quinn said, as the double timed it to the holodeck area.
Enya couldn’t wait, this was going to be so much fun. Her Dad always came up with fun things to do and he didn’t sit on the sidelines, he joined in with her so they could have fun together.
Quinn walked through the doors of the holodeck with Enya. Before they walked in, he had programmed the holodeck to start as soon as they walked in. "Take your shoes off, but keep your socks on." Quinn told her as he walked into the room, and slipped off his shoes and placed them in a cubby hole.
Enya took her shoes off and stored them next to her Dad's. She looked around the room and her eyes widened. “What’s all this for, Dad?”
"You will see, take my hand and follow me." Quinn said, as he reached out for her to take his hand, and started to lead her onto the trampoline. It started to bounce with each step they took.
Enya tugged at his hand. “I’m gonna fall down!” Every step she took it moved up and down.
"I'll catch you, if you start falling." Quinn said, as they walked into the trampoline. Quinn started to gently jump on the trampoline causing a need to go in the air a little bit he made sure to keep a good grip on her hand.
Enya jumped a little, following her Dads motions. She held onto him tightly as she started to bounce up and down. A smile crossed her face as she looked at her Dad. “This is fun!”
"I thought you'd like that try this out." Quinn said as he bent his knees a little more and bounced her even higher causing Little Enya to fly up in the air with him, but he didn't let her go and made sure that she didn't land hard. Enya bounce off the trampoline and back into the air again.
“This is fun!” Enya called out to her Dad. She liked bouncing high but she didn’t want him to let go yet, not until she was more used to it. She laughed. “We can go high!”
"Of course." Quinn said, as he really bent his knees, and they went flying into the air. Quinn had a big grin on his face, as they both left the trampoline.
“Weeeeee,” Enya yelled out loud, trying to hang onto her Dad. She was glad that he had her right. Looking down her eyes got big as they went higher and higher.
Quinn and Enya continued to bounce for a bit. "Try without holding onto me." Quinn called out to her, to see if she was ready yet.
Enya almost said no, she was nervous but she knew if she kept hanging on to him she would never want to try. “Okay...” she let go of her Dad and bounced a little. “What happens if I fall down!” She called out.
"you should bounce back up on your feet." Quinn suggested to her, as he let her hand go, and showed her how it was done. He bounced on his butt and then back onto his feet again.
Enya laughed at him and then gave it a try. She ended up going to far backwards and flipped over on her stomach. “Ooops!” She exclaimed with a laugh as she rolled over to get back up.
"Try it again." Quinn suggested, as he laughed with her then bounced next to her, which caused her to fly up in the air from her belly.
Enya laughed and bent forward, landing on her butt she went up in the air. When she came down she landed on her feet. “I did it, Dad!”
"High five sweetie." Quinn said, as they both jumped in the air to give each other a high five. Poor Enya had to bounce a little higher, since her father was taller than her.
“Wow Dad!” Enya yelled as her hand hit his. “Short legs here!” She grinned as she landed and pushed off hard, going high. “We gotta bring Mom!”
"Next time." Quinn said, as they continued to jump on the tranpoline together. The two of them were having a lot of fun. As the scene starts to fade away.
Enya was having fun with her Dad. She would love some time with her Mom but today was for just them.
