Mission: Episode 7 - Home Again
Location: Security Office
Timeline: MD006 1400 hrs

After the "incident" in the turbolift, where Auba kissed him, Paul was confused. He didn't know that Lyna felt that way about him. After the breakup with Rockwell, Paul had decided not to look for anymore romantic entanglements on the ship.

Paul had the turbolift reroute to the security office. If Auba was there, they should talk.

Paul entered the security office he was told that Ensign Auba was in the ship's gym. So Paul exited and headed to the gym.

Auba was in the gym because she was embarrassed by what happened with Paul. She was hoping a hard workout would help clear her mind. The gym was deserted. She was so focused on the workout she never heard the doors open and was surprised when Paul tap her on the shoulder.

"Hello." he said.

Auba mumbled something that could have meant "hello", but before he or she could say anything more, she grabbed her stuff and tried to exit to gym.

Paul cut her off. "I think we have something to discuss."

Auba shook her head. "No we don't! That was an accident! It never should have happened! I had no right to do that!" She kept trying to get away around him so she could leave and find someplace else to hide.

Paul held his hands out. "It was unexpected, but it was alright. I didn't know you felt that way."

All this was doing was intensifying her embarrassment and her insecurities. "How could I say something when you were dating Rockwell? Was I suppose to just come out and say "I love you" in front of everyone? And when you said that you were going to transfer out, I thought I'd die of a broken heart, and when you said you were staying I...guess I lost my mind and I kissed you!"

Paul shook his head. "I understand. If I wasn't so blind, I might have seen the signs, but I was involved, and I didn't think to look for them, and we broke up, I just thought that I was no going to look for anyone else.....guess I got a reputation on the ship and people were avoiding me in that way."

Just the sound of his voice made her calm down. "So what are you saying?" Her heart was beating faster.

Paul slowly approached her, "That I wouldn't mind it happening again." Paul took her hands. "I like you, too."

The touch of his hands on hers was like lightning, and the sound of his voice made her knees go weak. She threw her arms around his neck and this time, he returned the kiss.
