Location: Various

The USS Pioneer was now back on the ship. He was now home again. But what did that really mean? He was now back on the Pioneer. But was it home? He was not sure, but he did know, they had a few days off, and he planned on taking full advantage of it. He walked into his residence. "Are we ready to head to the station?" Quinn asked as he looked to Ameri and Enya.

“Yes!” Ameri smiled. “I feel a need to do some shopping!” She looked over at Enya. “It is time to spoil you.”

"No Mamma, no no no." Enya said, she hated shopping. A trait she picked up from her father. She prefer to go to the promenade, and eat some food, and look for some kids to interact with. She was not going to waste her time in some store, picking out boring outfits.

"Enya, shopping could be fun for you." Quinn said, trying to back his wife. But it was hard to do, he was not a fan of shopping as well.

“We almost always do what I suggest,” Ameri replies after a moment of thinking. “You two decide.” She was going to whatever it took to make this a good day for her husband and daughter. “Shopping is banned.”

"Your mother said shopping, we are going shopping sweetie." Quinn said, as he swallowed his pride, and stood behind his wife in sport. He looked over to Enya. If looks could kill, her looks would have him dead, 100 times over.

"Dad." Enya said in protest.

"Don't Dad me, were going shopping on the promenade. Let's go everyone." Quinn said as they left the room and headed down to the transporter room. Shortly after arriving in the room, they beamed over to the station.

Quinn thought to himself, this brought back to many memories. It felt like it was not to long ago, that they left this place. Now they were back for repairs and supplies. They started to walk down to the promenade.

"What store first? Mom?" Enya asked with an annoyed look on her face.

“I’m hungry,” Ameri said. “Let’s get something to eat and go from there.” This was supposed to be family time and her suggestion of shopping was going to ruin it. “Maybe after we eat we can find something fun to do.”

"We can try Cardassian tailor shop." Enya said, as she looked to her father. She was now teasing her mother.

"Yes, that would be a marvelous idea, sweetie." Quinn said, as he walked towards food place Ameri had suggested to them. It looked very promising.

“Okay,” Ameri smiled. “We can find something there for your two. I will be honest it isn’t my taste at all.”

"Cardassians know about art and fashion." Quinn said, just recently visiting Cardassia. He could contest to that. There art work, was a wonderful. There fashion, was not bad either.

“I am open to new possibilities,” Ameri nodded. “It is nice to get off the ship for a bit.”

"It's nice to spend time together." Quinn said, as they walked into the tailor shop.

“Ameri glanced around. She was surprised at how she liked some things. “I like that shirt.” She pointed out to Quinn. “That would look stunning on you.”

The tailor just smiled, as he handed the shirt to Quinn. He walked over to a dress. "What about this dress, it would look good on you." Quinn said, as he pointed out a very vibrant color dress.

Ameri smiled widely as she walked over and looked at it. “It is really pretty.” She looked at Quinn. “Okay, I’ll take it.” She looked around. “Quinn, where is Enya?”

Enya giggled from behind her mother. "No idea hunny, maybe we should call station security to help us find her." Quinn said, with a big grin on his face.

“Quinn,” Ameri feigned fear. “Call them! We need to find her now!” She wanted to turn, hearing her giggle but she didn’t want to ruin Enya’s fun.

"She'll be okay, she will find her way home. When she is hungry." Quinn said, as he motioned for the door.

“You are right,” Ameri nodded and headed out of the shop.”Where next, Quinn?” He has better come up with something he wanted to do and not shopping or she was going to scream.

"Shopping on the Promenade, just what you like baby!" Quinn said, as he winked at Enya, and then followed really closely by Ameri. They both left the quarters, behind them. With Enya trialing them.

Ameri stopped. “No!” She shook her head. “Shopping is banned. I already said that.”

"So cute when you are upset." Quinn said, as he pulled her close to his side. Then he heard a grunting sound of annoyance coming from behind Ameri.

"Not again." Enya said with an annoyed look on her face.

Ameri turned to their daughter. “Okay, that’s it. What do you want to do? And I don’t want to hear complaints, I want a constructive idea of something we can do as a family.” She wasn’t letting her off with excuses. “I am waiting!”

"I want to go a day, without my parents kissing." She said, as she walked in front of them. So she did not have to see her parents kissing in front of her.

“Would you rather we fight,” Ameri returned. “Or not communicate at all? Become strangers? We love each other and this is how we show affection. Now, that was a nice reply but not good enough. What are we going to do as a family. Enya, I want an answer that doesn’t include your father and I’s relationship.”

"Ya whatever Mom, do that in your bedroom. Don't embrass me." She said, with a little chip on her shoulder. Quinn tried not to laugh. It was clear that Enya, was testing them.

“You will not speak to me disrespectfully,” Ameri returned, trying to stay patient. “We are your parents we make the rules and that is that. This is not open for discussion. Now, what do you want to do and you better have an answer Or there will be consequences.” She looked at Quinn and gave him. ‘Seriously’ look.

"So you're saying that my feelings don't matter, thanks Mom. How respectful of you." Enya said, with an annoyed look on her face. She started to give her mother the silent treatment.

“Enya O’Flannigan,” Ameri said quietly.”Of course your feelings matter. Your father and I have toned it down quite a bit but you need to meet us half way.” She felt tears well in her eyes. They had been through so much lately, worrying about Quinn while he had been gone And Enya always unhappy she felt like she didn’t know what to do. They couldn’t even spend a day together where Enya could just tell them what she wanted to do.

"Your mother is right, you have to meet us half way." Quinn said, in support of his wife. "We can discuss this more later on." He said, as they made there way to the transporter room.

"Yes Father." Enya said, as she looked to her mother.

Ameri looked from Quinn to Enya. She knew they hadn’t wanted to shop and neither of them had come up with something to do. She was discouraged. They used to have fun together, where had they gone wrong?

The scene fades as they beam over to Empok Nor.
