Location: Cardassia Prime
Timeline: MD004 1305 hrs

Last Time On Target Acquired...

Neil scuttled with the best of them when he needed to. At this point, he scuttled along the top of the wall, looking for a good place to post up when his armor took a hard hit. He felt a stun shot numb his arm and he grunted, fighting the rabbit holing of his vision as he rolled off the wall into the compound.

Wilhelmina had moved little sense the whole thing started, she had already taken a shot or two at a few of the Cardassian guards, mainly aiming at anyone brave enough to actually come out onto the roof. Her older model phaser did better then others in the Chaff and smoke but it was still less then ideal. While trying her best to provide overwatch it was less then effective at times. But then she caught sight of the red fire Disruptor fire, turning her weapon up to the roof and at Traimor firing before really getting a good look at the target, and repeating the shots one every half second or so, not really trying to hit the target as much as trying to keep however it was from repeating the shot.

And Now The Continuation...

Alarms began warbling and lights in surrounding buildings came up as the Pioneer's away team began their insertion, breaching through a side door.

Neil landed nearly flat on his back, the wind partially knocked out of him as he did a fair imitation of a fish out of water. He managed to get the wall behind his back and sat there for a moment, recovering. His left side was numb from the stun blast and his vision still felt foggy.

He heard shouts and he shouted out something suggesting rude sexual customs of Cardassian mothers. At least he thought that's what it meant. The klingon who had tried to explain it to him had been really drunk at the time.

It seemed to work as angry shouts came from both flanks. He pushed himself up with his legs, back against the wall and began stumbling to his left. It didn't take the Cardassian security team to find him.

“Surrender or die, scum,” the leader demanded. Given those options, Neil held up his carbine above his head and dropped to his knees.

“Six this is three. Seal your breach on the way in. This place crawls,”
he murmured into his mike.

“Drop your weapon, filth!,” the Cardassian demanded again and Neil could feel the impatience in the tone.

“Fine. Here.” Neil said, tossing the carbine to the leader. The tall Cardassian caught it with good reactions and surprise. The look stayed when the proximity sensor went off. Neil had loaded DNA profiles for his team into the weapon. Anyone else would catch a nasty trick if the weapon traveled more than two meters from he or the team.

In this case, a shock pulse flashed out as the power pack discharged, fusing into the weapon striking anyone within a meter. He’d gotten lucky and the leader and another Cardassian soldier went down as an energy pulse washed over them.

Then Neil went down as the last Cardassians opened fire. He blacked out almost immediately, though he did catch sight of the Cardy backup teams arriving.

Michael heard the weapons fire and made his way to the source. He came behind the Cardassians, and he saw that the Cardis had Neil was pinned down. So he raised his rifle, aimed and started picking off the Cardi's one by one....stunning them.

Trainor saw that his initial shot had not stopped it's intended target however, it did slow him down. What the sharpshooter did now was lay down cover fire for the security personnel to move in. Move in they did, a tall Cardassian scooped up Tremble's stunned body and shouldered the Marine. The Cardassian made for the door to the inner compound at a run. He ducked and weaved through the storm of phaser fire that presented itself. The sight was proof of the storied stamina of Cardassians. Within seconds he made it inside the compound and took Niel to a holding cell.

Michael saw Neil being dragged inside the compound and tried to help him.

Jenn saw Neil being dragged inside as well. She immediately scanned the building and got a good map of the inside of it. She turned to Moore. "If I am correct I know where they have taken them." She pointed tot he digital map. "There are several ways I could get to him. The power is off, but I think they can restore. I have to get in to the central power disturber. I may need cover and then I can rescue the Lieutenant."

After a prolonged time of nothing to shoot at the Gunny figured that the Cardassians had at least given up on taking pot shots at them. Jumping down off the wall and making her way to every one else. She didn't like them being bunched up but it was fine for now. "Rit, so now we need to get The Lieutenant an find Prenar. I think splitting up wol be a rit terrible ideal myself."

Moore nodded, "it is, Gunny, but, it's the only one we've got right now," he replied finally, not wanting to have all their eggs in one basket, "alright, three teams, Wilson, escort Masters. Cut power and get us some dark cover....Michael, you will go after Prener, if you miss him get what intel you can, Masters and Wilson will meet up with you after they get us cover. Miex, with me, we're going after Tremble," the SCOB said, having been impressed with the ops officers weapons proficiency, "we all will meet at waypoint Green Stuff for exfil. Anyone who doesn't make it in time will be left, things are getting too hot here and only going to get worse. Copy?"

"This is Michael, copy." Paul took a quick scan of the terrain and headed for what he thought would be the most likely route for Prenar.

Jenn nodded to Moore. "Let's go, Sergeant, I know the way!" She pointed to the building. As she looked to her tricorder and plotted the quickest route.

As the officers split up into their respective pairs and set out on their missions. A soft whine could be heard from overhead. The USS Pioneer dropped out of the clouds on a descent. It seemed that the mission was not going according to anyone's plan.
