Last Time On High Noon Express Part 2

Moving to the door, he took up a position on the left side, turning to his companions. "Right, well lets gets this done. Gunny, is this a robbery in process or do we have to prepare to repel boarders?"

Then he cocked his head. "Or is it a mystery and do we need to find out?"

Mina took a moment to stuff some of her hair under her hat and out of her face. "We know thar already on th' train, but not if thar robbing the thing yet. might do to lay low until tha make thar move."

And Now The Conclusion...

Flarn looked around after the Gunny stated that they should lay low. He found the platform that they stood on to be too narrow to lay on. "Gunny I will not be able to lay low, at least not here. There is not enough room." He began to look around for another spot.

Wilson gave him a nod, knowing that it would take longer to explain then to just go with it. "Rite, I mean we need ta not draw attention, enter the first cart har than see if we can ay' cash them in the act."

She slid the door open just enough to look inside, seeing that no one was inside the baggage cart. Opening it and stepping inside.

Neil moved to follow Wilson, offering a hand to the Tellarite. "Common Sgt. Literal," he grinned at Flarn, "We'll go over euthanisms after we get the bad guys, for now you take center position with that street howitzer and I'll take drag."

Larim drew his peacemaker. "Ill stay here and try to catch em if'n they come a runnin" he offered

Flarn was unsure what Wilson meant by lay low. However, he would continue to carry out the last order. That is until another order was given.

The little group of three pushed up through the first cart and into the second, which looked like a cargo cart. And seamed empty, but about the time that the three got inside the door on the other end of the cart started to open. The three only being able to get out of sight before a man walked in.

The holodeck program wasn't subtle at least. The new comers in question being a pair of men in long black dusters with hats and cloth tied around there faces, Each having a weapon already drawn, but after a second or so it became clear they didn't know anyone was in the cart with them. As they seamed to set about searching the crates and luggage.

Neil kept a hand on the butt of one pistol as he moved into cover and watched the men in black. "Well," he whispered "I suppose we are acting as law enforcement. We should give them a chance to to surrender."

"Aye.. Or knock em out. Most likely a better option. Yu take th' one on the right, I'll go left, Flarn give us cover?"

Flarn nodded and got into position to lay down sufficient cover fire. He leveled the shotgun and placed the butt of the firearm to his shoulder. If those men in black so much as twitched the wrong way the Tellarite would lay down the fire without thinking.

Neil acknowledged Wilson and drew his cross draw pistol, the trunk of his body covering the motion as he crept up one side, his eyes swiveling between the men and the floor, trying not to make a noise.
Grasping the revolver by the frame, but out, he brought the weapon up to just above shoulder height and struck out.

The man in black on the right caught the movement, turning his heads the butt caught him just below the ear, then broke his nose before he crumpled and Neil caught the body.

Wilson practically threw herself onto the back of the other man, One hand stopping him from drawing his weapon, as the other was thrown around his neck from behind. It taking a few seconds to choke him out... It was messy but rather quick. And ended with him falling over and Mina having to push him off of her. "Wel.. Tha' warked."

As the quick struggle ensued Flarn tried to get a clean shot, but that was to no avail. Every angle there was a possiblity of hitting friendlies. Once the enemy was subdued Flarn approached with the butt of the shotgun on his shoulder. "I have them covered you can let go, if they twitch they die." Flarn said without flinching.

"We might need you and that shotgun rather than leave you here," Neil said thoughtfully. Thinking, he untied the stampede stings from his hat and trussed the men's hands behind them with the leather strips.

"That should hold them long enough," he said after. "Lets check the next car?"

Flarn snorted in response to his CO's suggestion. He did take note of the stampede string use, the idea of using what you had to get the job done was not lost on the Tellarite.

"Works for me." Larim said

Neil picked up the black dusters he'd stripped from the men and grinned. "Ok, who feels like making entry in disguise to confuse our foes?"

Mina nodded taking the coats then two men had been wherein and put it on, covering up her badge at least. But then stopping to look up at the mess of red head. "Aye Hope they hav a Ginger on th' team." She motioned to the door once the other two where ready, sliding it open and moving over the small gap to the next landing and looking in the door. frowning and holding up her fingers, Four fingers visible indicating the number in the next car.

Larim nodded

Flarn turned toward Neil with a look of puzzlement. "Sir I do not see how disguising ourselves will throw them off. Surely they know that we are here already...." His voice trailed off as he realized that he was being too literal again. So although begrudged he still put the clothing on.

She nodded at Flarns comment, "Ah Donna think they will. But might make them hesitate a split second."

"And that's all ya need to get the drop on 'em' Katim agreed

Neil nodded, shrugging into one of the coats. "No IFF. A bit of distraction and we should be able to deploy advantageously. The Gunny and I right down the throat, moving ahead and going to cover low to the right and left when the disguise doesn't work any more. Sgt., Lt. Commander, if you'll follow? We'll try for a spread formation, but it's going to be close quarters. Give them a chance to surrender, then deal with anyone that gets jumpy."

"Sir yes sir! But can you define jumpy?" Flarn replied. He found it hard to believe that anyone would want to jump off a moving train. However, he always had found human customs to be strange and sometimes unnerving.

Neil nearly sighed at Flarn, then grinned at him. "Jumpy. IE twitchy, or doing anything that can be defined as harmful to our team or bystanders, be they innocent or not. So, in this case, if we enter yond rail born conveyance and someone points a weapon toward us with seemingly hostile intent...drop them. If they're posing, give them a chance to surrender...then drop them if they don't comply. Good intentions will get you only so far."

Wilhelmina gave a nod. "Aye that's a right fin explination, we all ready?"
