Mission:
Episode 5 - It Would Be Their Pleasure
Location: Capsperian Resort - Lobby
Timeline: MD009 0755 hrs
Ameri was still on the resort, she was getting ready to head up to the ship, first she was passing by the lobby. She had enrolled Enya into the daycare facility at the lobby. She was almost to the entrance, when she noticed Tyler. "Good morning Captain." She said with a bubbly smile on her face.
"Mornin to ya..." The more relaxed Tyler got the more his old Oklahoma accent came out in his voice. "An' while on leave I am Tyler. The pips are on my desk on the ship." He added with a chuckle. The tall man knelt down and raised his hand for a high five. "An' Miss Enya... Can I have a high five?"
Enya was not sure what to make of the captain, but he seemed to be in a better mood. She reached her hand out to high five him.
Ameri watched on. "As soon as I drop off Enya, I will head up to the ship, and prepare to update the star charts, Captain." She said, and feeling proud of Enya for returning the Captain's high five.
"Yes thank you. As I said before I apologize it is just that there is a year's worth of data to update. I can't ask Vaebn to do it as he needs to reflect on his experiences. However, he will assist you when he returns to duty. Ironic that he chose to remain on the ship for shore leave. You may want to stop by and see him." Tyler spoke with a smile and then snapped his fingers. "Oh here is a present for Enya." He handed over a small IDN chip. "That contains all of the holonovels the Adventures of Flotter. Have it installed on the holodeck for her." His smile broadened.
"Thank you." Simply said Enya, as she reached out with her hand to take the chip from the captain. She was eager to try out the holonovel, but her shy personality, contained her excitement.
"I'll reach out to him Captain." Said Ameri, as she put her hands on the shoulders of Enya. To re assure her shy daughter that everything was okay. "Any big plans for the day Captain?" Asked Ameri, hoping she was not prying to much into the Captain's personal life. She did not want to be rude and have a ten second conversation. She needed to find a segway, to saying goodbye.
"Just going to go for a horseback ride in the mountains and then take a nap." Tyler said with a chuckle. One did not become Captain without the ability of reading people and their body language. He could tell the Mrs XO wanted to get on with her day. "Please do not let me keep you."
"Thank you Captain, and enjoy the trails." Ameri, said, thinking to herself, why didn't she think of that. Horseback riding sounded like so much fun. She imagined herself on the trails, riding into the sunset. Without a care in the world.
"I shall and when you are finished with your shift contact me. Perhaps the five of us will hit the trails. It is always nice to have company when riding." Tyler added as he wondered if this new part of the Pioneer family enjoyed the same pastime as he did.
"I'll talk to Quinn, but I do not see why not?" Ameri said, as she started to wave goodbye to Tyler. Enya smiled, at the idea of going horseback riding, but did not say a word.
