Mission: Episode 4 - The Sum of Our Parts
Location: USS Pioneer
Timeline: MD001 1330 hrs

May 28 2394 1330 hrs (relative time)

Larim walked out of his quarters. At least the sign said they were his. He wasn't sure of anything at this point. He just walked along in "his" uniform. Well it was a gold Lieutenants uniform of the 2360's. He walked along. In a daze when he heard a quick scream. followed by a thud.

"Oh good. I'm not the only one freaked." he said to himself.

Jennifer was unaware what had happened when she woke up in a bit of a haze as it felt like someone or someone was jumping up and down on her. She looked up and when her vision corrected herself she saw a 5 year old girl jumping up and down on her. She was laying in a bed she never been before.

"Mommy! Mommy! Wake up!" She shouted.

Jenn followed the girl jump up and down for a moment and then picked her up and put her on the floor. "You must be mistaken, I am not your mommy." Then she felt movement next to her. She turned around and gazed in to the eyes of a strange man. She jumped out of the bed. "I am so sorry to have disturbed you. I must have wandered off into the wrong quarters." Then she realized she wasn't wearing her uniform anymore. She was wearing a tight tank top and shorts. It wasn't even what she would wear when she was sleeping, let alone during day time. And why was that man looking at her so lovingly.

"Dont bug mommy right now, honey." Johnathan said. He turned over. "Hi Jenn." he grinned. "Sleep well, sweety?"

"Sweety? Our quarters?" She grabbed her head. "What's going on here?" She rushed around the room opened up a closet to find anything familiar. Not her grey uniform and not her petty officer pips. And the casual attire was something her sister would wear. She grabbed the yellow uniform and just put it on. It was the only thing that fit. The other yellow uniform must belong to the man. She quickly hoisted herself in the uniform.

"Not sure what you mean, Jenn." said Jonathan. Getting out of bed, nearly tripping as he did so. He inched towards the comm console. "Uh..we're married. These were assigned to us." he said. He walked forward. "Maybe we should get you to sickbay. You look like crap.

She just held her hand up keeping him away. "Look, I don't know who you are, but I am Petty officer first class Jennifer Masters, Human intelligence agent." She ran out of the room as quickly as she could grabbing a combatch out on her way. "Security, intruder alert!" She called before running in to the security chief himself.

Larim looked to see Jenn Masters looking frazzled. Glad I;m not the only one He thought. "What's the trouble?" he asked. Even in la la land he was Chief of Security.

"Jenn is, Larim." Johnathan said. "She's been acting freaky all of a sudden.

"Define freaky." Larim said. He know my name? He asked.

"Doesnt know me, or our daughter. Generally disoriented. Maybe you could use your betazoid to find out."

"Not without her permission I'm afraid. However. I will take her to sickbay personally." and with that the pair exited the quarters.

"I did jump in. Just to confirm it was you. The gold uniform and lieutenant jg rank thrrew me off. What's the last thing you remember?"

"I came out of after 11. I was doing the investigation with Ensign Essu. I was wearing my grey uniform. What's going on, lieutenant?" Jenn looked around. She wasn't really waiting for a head examination, but at least someone believed her.

"Last thing I remember I was on the bridge. The station we were sent to help, blew. And the ship was hit by a wave of chronitons. Last thing before going dark I slammed against the bulkhead. I wake up to find Lax over my bed. Perhaps we should head to the bridge?'

"Wait, we need intell first." Jennifer was still an intelligence officer. She didn't want to go in without having the facts. She looked up a terminal. I hope this place allowes easy access to basic personnel files, if not I may have to hack the place."

"As Chief of Security, I see nothing. Hack away." Larim said.

"Looks like easy access it is. The manifest is public." Jenn scrolled through the manifest. "Well, one thing is for sure. This isn't our Pioneer as we know it." She showed Larim the manifest. She pointed to the captain. "Captain Bervag Bers. If memory serves me right, he suppose be a Lieutenant Commander, first officer on the USS Juno."

"Yeah. In our reality I went to the Academy with him. But yes. Last I heard he was on Juno." he nodded. "Any other surprises?"

Jenn scrolled further. "Looks like you're the security chief. Your academy buddy got you on board then." She grinned. "And I am an operations officer. That man claiming to be my husband is your assistant chief. And here is our ally." She pointed on the screen. "Lieutenant Commander T'San. Chief medical officer USS Pioneer. She is a Vulcan. She can help us."

"Agreed. Fits with the "sickbay" story I gave your "husband." Because he'd check. I would anyway." he grinned. "Kills two birds with one stone. Get checked out. And intel." Larim said. "To sickbay." Larim said.

They walked to sickbay. Via turbolift of course. He recongnized a nurse from their pioneer. "Hello. is Dr. Bal....I mean T'San in?" he asked. 'Sorry. One of those days." he grinned.

"Ah. Lieutenant Myles, Lieutenant Frazier. Sure. She's right over there."

"Thanks' Larim said. They walked over. "Doctor?"

T'San looked up from her work when she spoken to. "Lieutenant Myles, Lieutenant Frasier, how can I help you?"

"Commander, doctor T'San, could we talk in private?" Jenn asked. She was still the Human intelligence officer, a bit paranoid.

T'San pointed to her office. "My office." She walked in the office with Jennifer and Larim on her tail. She closed the blinds. She sat down.

"Thank you, doctor," said Jenn. "Doctor, this may sound weird, but Lieutenant Myles and I, are not from here. We believe our Pioneer somehow had an accident and got us both here."

T'San nodded to Jennifer and then turned to Larim. Is she telling the truth, Lieutenant? She asked Larim telepathically.

Yes, Doctor. She is. He replied.

T'San nodded again. "You do understand I have to inform the captain, but I believe you. Come with me to the bridge. We will sort this out. That is all I can say for now."

"Fair enough." Larim said. He turned to Jenn. "Remind me to trust your instincts more often."

Jenn smiled. "My instincts haven't failed me yet."
