Location: Malbrooke Residence, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, United States, Earth
Timeline: MD001 1300 hrs

May 29 2018 0300 hrs (relative time)

Tyler heard the whine of the ship and the thud and creaking as the wave took hold of the Pioneer. He also heard his own voice screaming to turn the ship into the wave. However, all of those sounds were distant, as if in a dream, and they were getting farther by the moment.

As the sounds got farther away he heard something new coming closer. The closer sound was the voice of his wife nudging him to wake. "Honey you're having a bad dream wake up..." she said.

He sat up straight in bed, sweating and still mumbling turn the ship, turn it damn you. He was breathing heavily.

"Turn what?" Kat said. Tyler looked at her incredulously. "The Pioneer I must have been dreaming but it seemed that the ship was about to be hit by a chroniton wave." He stretched and spoke as if the dream meant nothing.

"What are you talking about sweetheart? I think you watch a little too much of that show, especially late at night." Katherine said as she rolled over to go to sleep.

Tyler chuckled not fully registering what she had said. Then as he lay his head back down it hit him right in his face. He wasn't in his quarters on the Pioneer, or in Kat's quarters on the station. This was the bedroom in the house he grew up in Oklahoma. And what was it Kat just said that he had watched too much of that show.

His mind was racing and he had to figure out where he was, when he was. What happened to his ship, his crew and him. He pushed these thoughts to the side for the moment and simply smiled at his wife. "Babe, I am going to go downstairs for a little I can't seem to get back to sleep." He said as he playfully swatted her backside. Kat laughed and muttered whatever as she fell back asleep.

Tyler made his way downstairs and into the kitchen. He first looked for a replicator as he was going to order a cup of tea to help him think. However, he couldn't find one which was odd to him because he was sure he had one installed in the old house years ago. Sighing he saw the cupboard and refrigerator and made his way to it. He fixed himself a snack, with some milk and put a kettle on the stove for tea. How quaint... But I am sure I had replicators put in. Or am I going mad. he thought.

He finished making his snack and saw a newspaper on the counter. "Now I have to be dreaming I don't think there has been an actual newspaper in, well I don't even know how long." Tyler spoke to the empty kitchen. He laughed and then stopped laughing instantly as he honestly thought he may be going insane. He grabbed the paper and went into the living-room. He set everything down, but took no heed of the date that was on the cover of the newspaper.

Tyler turned the TV on, as he had this horrible sinking feeling. He thought to shrug the feeling off by reading the paper while listening to the television. The fact that he had a television was odd in and of itself. Tyler had to figure this out, where was the ship, where is everyone. What happened?

He looked up at the screen and his eyes bugged out. There was the image of the ship that he knew to be the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, but what he did not know was why it was there. His eyes squinted as the words "Space the final frontier" was spoken by the voice he knew to be Jean Luc Picard.

With his mouth agape he looked down at the paper and saw the date May 28 2018. Tyler let out a loud whistle as it all became clear.
