Mission: Episode 3 - Weary Travellers
Location: USS Pioneer, Sickbay
Timeline: MD002 1700 Hrs

Jenn finally crawled out of the belly and decided to pay the doctor a visit. Being cooped up every day and also having to fight some maquis, she had been very busy and couldn't find the time. She was surprised the doctor hadn't called for, she expected him to call her or something. Get that medical exam.

She walked in to sickbay and looked around. " Hello? Anyone in here?" She called out.

"Hello!" Richard stepped out of his office gazing at the green eyed woman. He smiled as he walked out towards his visitor with his eyes sparkling, "how can I help you."

Jenn shrugged. "Patty officer first class Jennifer Masters, Human Intelligence agent," She introduced herself holding out her hand to shake his. "I am here for a physical. But if you are too busy, I can come back at a later time."

Richard smiled and nodded, "pleasure to meet you Miss Masters I'm Doctor Richard Ballston." He drew in a breath and tilted his head, "and certainly not too busy."

He stepped back and to the side and motioned towards the biobeds, "no time like the present."

Jenn walked up to the biobed and got on it. "Let's get this over with then," She said. To be honest she wasn't really fond of medical facilities. You never know what doctors could find in you that you didn't want to have.

"A bit in a hurry?" Richard smiled and chuckled a little as he retrieved his tricorder he moved next to the biobed and began his scans, "can't blame you, we doctors can be pretty scary."

"It's not really the doctors, it's what they could find to keep me in here that I am scared off. " She giggled and shrugged. "I know, the chances of that happening are minimal."

Richard chuckled, "I'll try not to find anything scary." "Can't promise though."

Jenn sighed. "Well then I have to trust you on your word then. You are my doctor now." She tilted her head. "So doctor, you think you can talk and work at the same time? Or I am that interesting that you forgot how to be a doctor?" She grinned.

Richard laughed and shook his head, "I'm fine go ahead and talk, I'll be fine."

The physician offered a wry grin, "don't take that the wrong way."

She curiously leaned over to look on the tricorder. "Everything still there, doctor?" She asked. "To be honest, I hadn't had an actual physical exam since the academy. This is my first assignment since my return to starfleet. And your low life criminals don't really care much for your health. As long as you preform. But I had a healthy civilian life. I ate and drank healthy. Exercises, you name it. And I did a lot of hacking most of the time, it was one of my conditions, I would never step in to the heat of the fire. The people I worked for weren't exactly the nice types and they didn't deal with the nice types either."

Richard looked up at the woman then back down at his device, "then I'd say you faired well Miss Masters." He shook his head, "I glad you don't have to worry as much about those types now. He tilted his head slightly and returned his attention to her, "do you still have that cough?"

"Cough?" She was thinking about that a moment. "Oh the one I had in the academy. No I am all fine, thanks for asking. I'm sure it was just a little bug. I have been a little tired, but it must be from all the different shifts I have been doing. Nothing a good night sleep can't handle, right, doctor?"

"There is noting on my scans to indicate otherwise." Richard put back his tricorder and looked at the woman with a broad smile, "just keep your old friends off this ship if you would." He chuckled and blushed a little, "long story and probably not worth repeating."

Jenn laughed. "Don't worry, doctor, I don't intend to have any dealings with them ever again. I got a second chance here and I don't want to ruin it, not while I've made some new friends that are way better for me."

"I'm glad to hear it," The Azzian replied with a large smile, "welcome aboard Miss Masters."

"Thank you, Doctor. And you are alright. You sound like someone that likes to talk over drinks," She smiled. "As colleagues of course. But I could be wrong."

"Are you offering?" Richard replied with a broad smile, "I'd love to have the opportunity."

Jenn smiled. "Yea, sure, it's not like I am doing anything right now, and if you're not busy..." She offered.

"I could use the break." Richard chuckled and offered a nod towards the woman, "let's have some fun trading stories."

Now her curiosity was piqued. She was always interested in hearing new stories. "Well, let's go to after 11 then. Unless you have someplace else in mind?" she suggested.

"After 11 is perfect." He chuckled and drew in a deep breath, "I hope you don't mind old man stories, "I've got a lot of them."

She grinned. "No I don't mind them. I hear them plenty at the office." She giggled at that.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Richard grinned and offered his arm as if he was going to be her escort, "After 11 here we come."
