| Description | "The Belly of the Beast" as it is known is a three room SCIF located on deck 9 of the Intrepid Class, USS Pioneer. The first room is a small foyer that has four lounge chairs and a small desk. This desk is manned 24 hours a day by a Marine or Security Officer and is the only way in and out of the rest of the SCIF. Do to the nature of business that occurs with in the SCIF no comm badges, PADDs or other transmitting devices are allowed beyond this room. The Second room is an open space with work stations against the walls that are built for all different sorts of Intelligence gathering. They can be configured to suit almost any Intelligence mission. In the center of the room is a big table that acts as a briefing table and situation table to play out many different scenarios. This room is also equipped with holo emitters to assist with planning scenarios. There is a vault in the SCIF for items that are classified Top Secret acquired or found on away missions and a special replicator built to destroy and and all classified material without recording it's pattern. The last room is the Office of the Chief Intelligence Officer's Office. She works from this room and compiles all of the raw reports she receives from her analysts into reports that are easier for non Intel officers to read. |
