“In March, the Pioneer had hit something of a rut. This month, they doubled their post count, going from around 25 posts across 19 players, to 60 posts across 18. This is an absolutely brilliant improvement, and it gives me great pleasure to nominate them for the UoM this month.” (Rear Admiral Oliver Lancaster, TFCO)

Masters joined the Pioneer and hit the ground running. She adds a unique perspective to the quirky Intelligence Department and can swing dance too. She is not afraid to jump in and write what she wants or put herself out there to help others tell a story. She definitely a great addition to our enlisted personnel and we are honored to have her.

“It was a tough decision this month, all the sims in the TG have done extremely well this month. However, I am putting the USS Pioneer in for UoM this month. The Pioneer reached an incredible 103 posts this month, reaching that in just the last 7 days of the month from about 70. That was a great showing by the Pioneer crew, and each post was quality to go with the quantity. Well done!” (Commander John Barstow, TGCO, TG47-A)

The concept for the mission "The Sum of Our Parts" was a tough one for any writer to grasp. However, Masters jumped in not only writing her character's journey through time, but volunteering to help with the other crew members as well. I was uniquely impressed with the way they were able to adapt their writing style to fit the all of the multiverses. Very well done, and well deserved.

Jennifer Masters Character is very open and friendly character, and truly deserving of this award. Her posts are fun to read. Her friendships in character and out of character, help keep writers active and engaged on the USS Pioneer. She is a great asset to the sim. Her posts with Second Lieutenant Cornelius Tremble are incredible, and with the other marines and her intelligence staff.

“The Pioneer has, as ever, continued to wow in terms of her quality and quantity of posting. Since taking over the sim, Malbrooke has done exceptionally with her, maintaining a large crew of 15 player characters and a post count of 55 for the holiday month. Well done!” (Oliver Lancaster, TFCO, TF-47)

In the year that Jennifer has been with the Pioneer one might say that she has come a long way. However, I believe that she has not, at least not yet. What has happened in Masters' story is only the tip of the iceberg. I cannot wait to see the rest of her tale. Thank you for your year of service and here is to many many more.

I'm nominating the Package Acquired post, a small misunderstanding led to a blow-up which basically turned the mission on its ear and, in my opinion, made it a lot of fun to read.

Masters has played an enlisted character for as long as II've been here. In my time wI've loved reading here logs and the way she portrays an enlisted crew member. The character of Masters is rough around the edges, however, it isn't taken to the extreme like is easy to do.

When informed that Tremble was to be captured, Jennifer hatched the concept to rescue him. It was interesting to read when it was just an idea, and even more interesting to read when the post was written.

I'm putting Lieutenant Dana Wakefield and Warrant Jennifer Masters up for this award. The post, What are Friends For is a compelling post about two characters each dealing with trauma in their lives and leaning on one another to try and get through it. This post helped pave the way to more drama throughout Episode 7: Home Again and it's been a lot of fun to read. -Captain Cornelius Tremble 2XO-

“Normally, I’m not one for giving awards to Task Group Flagships. In fact, often times I actively avoid it as I feel to take on a Task Force Command role is to forfeit those types of awards to the sims you are the TGCO for. However, in this instance, I am awarding the UoM from the month of July to Captain Tyler Malbrooke and the crew of the Pioneer. They consistently put out a high post count while maintaining a brilliant quality, worthy of Flagship status and this award. In July alone, they put out 134 posts, an average of just over 7 posts per player, and are on track for another month that will break that 100 post level, and this isn’t a one off either! Combine that with the additional work Malbrooke does in his capacity as a TGCO and Academy Commandant while also running this great sim and the sheer degree of interaction between these people that demonstrates the kind of creativity and camaraderie this fleet is all about, and you’ll understand why I’m nominating them for this award. So congratulations to the Pioneer and her crew, this award is well earned. Keep it up!” – Oliver Lancaster, TF47 TFCO

Giang Nguyen aka Jennifer Masters, is a remarkable writer. Rarely in sims, do you see players that stick around and get up to 100 posts. Not only has she done this, but she continuously impresses me with the level of detail and commitment to this character she writes. I am very happy to nominate Giang for this award. ~ J. L. Having Jennifer on the crew is both a pleasure and an honor. Watching this character grow over the past two years has been a distinct pleasure. She has not only added to the story, but to the community of the Pioneer as whole. Going so far as to write a cat for the crew to interact with. I am overjoyed to have her on this ship and proud to call her friend. I look forward to seeing what she has in store for us in the years to come.

A huge portion of the mission Empok's End was battle. Both between ships and on the ground. I am awarding this award to everyone who participated in this epic battle scenes. Scenes that can be hard to write as they are very visual. These writers deserve special recognition for making you feel like you were there in the heat of battle. Awarded for the portrayal of Jennifer Masters and others.

“For the month of May, I would like to award the Silver UoM for Task Force 47 to the crew of the USS Pioneer. The sim consistently performs well month in month out, and I feel, that in light of this month’s high quality and quantity of posting in these incredibly difficult times, and their 100% score in their audit, that the Pioneer and her crew are deserving of this award. I look forward to seeing what they put out going forward. Well done all!” ------Oliver Lancaster, TFCO, TF47-
