| General Overview | Kaia tends to be a by the book, organized, and rigid Officer. Unlike her sister, Kaia likes to have everything planned out. Many of told her that she needs to lighten up, and enjoy her off duty time. But Kaia has always struggled with the workplace vs real life balance. She knows that in order to move up and continue with her career she will in time have to balance things in her life, but that isn't today. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: Kaia is very detail orientated, organized, and methodical. She never likes to start a task without a plan. She is good at her job and has a tendency to inspire others to perform at the same level. She isn't sure if that is confidence or the fact that they don't want to look bad. She honestly doesn't care; as long as her team completes their assigned tasks. Weakness: Aside from her sister, Kaia has a harder time managing a social life. She has friends, but it's hard for people to make it on that list. People have told Kaia numerous times, that she needs to work to leave the uniform at work; that she's too rigid. She considers it a strength but most see it as a challenge to get past. |

| Ambitions | Kaia releases that most of her career has been on a base or behind a desk. While trained as a Combat Engineer, she's never really had an assignment in the field. She knows that in order to continue to move up the ladder and advance in her career she is going to have to see some field experience out of an office, and on a ship. | |
| Hobbies & Interests | Kaia enjoys the outdoors; hiking, camping, nature. Anything that gets her out of her office, and away from it all. Like her sister, Kaia also enjoys cooking; a skill that their mother insisted each twin learn. |
| Personal History | As with most Star Fleet Officers, Li twins were born into a life already heavily influenced by the Federation. Their father Li Jalon served as the Federation Ambassador to Betazed and it was here that their parents meet, married, and eventually started their family. Their childhood was rather simple, with their father a very traditional human who did not believe in given them too much. He preferred to see them work for their goals and accomplish things on their own. While the twins know their father loves them, they also will admit that he rarely gave displays of emotions. He was a very closed, and private man, mainly due to the outside influences on her life. On the twin's 10th birthday their father was called to the USS Horizon, given the choice the twins opted to stay on Betazed with their mother. Neither knowing this would be the last time they would see their father alive. Having been called to the Cardassian sector the Horizon was attacked by an unknown enemy ship, all hands lost during the battle. Neither twin will truly talk about this period of their life, instead, they tend to avoid it. As adventurous children with an inquisitive mind, the Li twins accompanied their mother on many of her jobs, while working on Betazed. As the twins grew older, their individual tastes grew with them. Kaia, being the more rigid twin, tended to pay closer attention to those in uniform, namely her mother’s Security Details. From a young age, Kaia learned to train with her mother's detail. Running drills, survival training, and physical exercise were par for the course for the young lady. Kaia surprised the entire family when she announced on their 16th birthday she was going to enlist in the Federation Marine Corps. Many had assumed she was going to go into the Security route and earn her commission. |
